“Shadow,” I gasped out when he placed his hand on my neck, rubbing the junction between my neck and shoulders.
I was a calm girl with good control over my emotions. I swear, I was, but there was something about the way he was rubbing my skin and looking at me with those eyes with his body pressing me down which was making me weak in the knees.
“Yes, my kitten,” he whispered sensually, breathing right into my ears now, and I closed my eyes before taking a deep shaky breath, realizing how we both were breathing heavily.
It was almost as if he was controlling his carnal desires too, and the thought that I was having the same effect on him, fed some of my ego.
Which I don’t even know how the hell it is a good thing? I swear my head thinks of the weirdest thing to joke at the weirdest timings, all the time.
I moved my leg that was dangling down from the couch and he groaned in my ears.
“Don’t move, Kitten,” he growled in my ears, more like pleading before he raised his face to look at me, his eyes almost dark hazel, like they were turning to black slowly, and I gulped, thinking of how my eyes must be looking right now.
“How are you going to repay me?” He asked, and I looked at him, surprised.
“Hmm?” I asked, and he smirked before licking his bottom lip.
“Why do you look surprised? I saved your life twice already. Don’t you think you should be diligent in returning the favor?” Shadow asked, his gaze raking over my face as if searching for something.
I raked my head to come up with a reply. Usually, I have so many things to say, but for once, I felt completely speechless.
I wanted to ask him what kind of favors he wanted from us, but with the kind of ambiguous position we were in, my mind was going to only one kind of favor, which I am sure was the last thing in Shadow’s mind.
No lies. I mean, look at this piece of meat. He is the most handsome man I have ever come across. He is lean, and muscular but not too bulky, his sharp jaws are enough to cut through a girl’s heart, not to mention these eyes.

I paused when I realized I was praising in my head while he was asking me what kind of favor I could give him and I shook my head to bring myself out of those indecent thoughts.
“What are you thinking about?” Shadow asked, both of our breathings much more normal than before, and I shrugged.
“You,” I whispered, wanting to gain back some of the confidence and control over what was going on here.
“Me?” He raised his brows, and I hummed.
“What kind of favor do you probably want from a girl like me? I am sure it’s not something obscene because you wouldn’t dare go against your alpha, and you already know I don’t have anything else to my name… So what exactly is it?” I asked him.
He didn’t say anything for a few seconds and kept looking into my eyes before he chuckled.
His unadulterated chuckle caught me off-guard.
“What should I do with you, kitten? Why are you so cute?” He asked before pinching my cheeks.
He leaned, pressing his body further down, a bit harder than before, and I nearly gasped at the sensation that traveled in my body.
“For now, I want you to help me with the paperwork since you can clearly see I hurt my right hand while protecting you. Will you help me with that? It’s your duty as a class representative, but I never intended to make you go through that. However, now -” He whispered in my ears, making me nod absent-mindedly.

As soon as he did that, I tried to stand too.
However, as soon as I did that, his hand slipped and he fell on top of me, again pressing me further down.

What was the need to move so quickly when he was trying to get up himself?

I berated myself before a realization dawned upon me.
