“Thank you, Sera,” I said softly when she poured me water, and I emptied my glass in one go before reaching again for the plate full of food, only to suddenly notice I was the only one eating.
I paused quietly and slowly, very slowly, lifted my gaze to them all, my eyes settling on my father at last. He looked concerned and unusually quiet.
“You have lost a lot of weight. Eat more.” He murmured, scooping more into my spoon. Without thinking, I ate it, lowering my gaze again to steady the emotions whirling inside me.
We sat around the dining table, breakfast served, yet everything felt awkward without the explanations I knew they deserved. I lowered my gaze after leaving the food untouched and finally began quietly.
“Father… I apologize. I apologize to my brothers too. I have been foolish, and I shouldn’t have disobeyed you four years ago. I know you were only looking out for my betterment p>
“You’re not wearing your wedding ring,” Rocco, my eldest brother, interrupted. I slowly met his gaze before nodding.
“Yes.” Silence fell instantly, and my fingers tightened as I found my voice again. “I want a divorce p>
A stunned silence swallowed the dining room, and I felt the energy rise. Pure anger. But it wasn’t directed at me. Of course, it was for Ares Bani.
“He hurt you?” Eshan’s voice came, and I swallowed hard as I met his gaze.
“He did, didn’t he?” Kashi asked this time, and I bit my lower lip. It was a pleasant day to be alive. For a moment, I simply gazed at my three brothers, and despite myself, despite the mood, I smiled.
They had only grown more powerful and handsome over the years. Each in stable relationships. Each perfect.
“I caught Ares cheating on me,” I murmured softly. “And I want a divorce p>
“I should have known that would be the case. He was up to no good from the start. I still don’t know why I hated him at first sight,” my father blurted angrily, and I went mute before frustration finally rose.

“You have evidence of him cheating?” Kashi, the lawyer asked, his voice slicing through the tension. I looked up and shook my head slowly.
“I only have a few pictures of them holding hands p>
“That won’t be sufficient in court. He might even deny it,” Kashi said, making me bite my lip.
“If the evidence isn’t clear and the groom refuses to let his bride go, the judge won’t approve the documents,” Roc, who is a judge added, his tone quiet but firm.
At this point, my shoulders sagged as I wondered how to move forward, when Eshan spoke.
“How about making him sign the papers without being aware of it? A signed document presented in court is the most effective option. Right, Kashi p>
“It will be effective,” Kashi agreed. “With one witness to his infidelity and the signed papers, the court will separate you both without hassle p>
“The question is how Snow will get his signature,” Eshan, the prosecutor asked, and all their eyes turned to me. The silence made me think deeply, until a young face appeared in my mind. Lencia.
Just like me, she was only a stand–in until Viviana returned from her four–year modeling program. If I could get Lencia on my side, I might be able to make Ares sign the divorce papers without realizing it.
“I know how to go about it. I can get Ares’s signature,” I said, strong and sure of myself. Their gazes questioned me silently, and I nodded. “I’ll get his signature without getting hurt in the process p>
“Then it’s settled. I’ll call my personal assistant to file for the divorce privately. A notice won’t reach Ares until it’s already late and when it’s time for him to appear in court,” Kashi said. I nodded, my heart blooming with relief.
I didn’t even realize when I smiled, a soft chuckle escaping in pure release.
“Thank you,” I murmured. “Thank you p>
No one spoke. Their eyes remained on me in a long silence until the atmosphere was broken by Sera, who had been quiet for a long time.
“I also have something for you, Snow,” she said, drawing all attention. “After your call that night, I consulted my father about your request, and he asked me to give you this p>
She left her seat briefly and returned with an envelope. I stared at it, my heart thudding harder

as I took it. Under their watchful eyes, I opened it and unfolded the document inside.

Tears brimmed in my eyes as I looked up at Sera, who smiled proudly.
“Still going to be the youngest Profiler on the team. Congratulations, Snow p>
Words failed me. I hugged her, pulled back, and looked again at the letter, then at my father and brothers, who had begun eating now in silent agreement. They already knew. I smiled. Of course they would know. Seraphine would never make such a move without telling her fiancé, Roc, especially not when it involved me.
“Your brothers vouched for you, said you were still fit for the job,” Sera said softly. “My dad was worried you might not be sound enough after the tragedy four years ago, but your father and brothers assured him you were. They know you best, Snow, and they’re relieved and proud you’re back home p>
Warmth spread through my chest. I looked at my three brothers and my father, a long sigh slipping from my lips. They still believed in me and stood by me, even after everything I did four years ago, breaking ties and making decisions on my own.
“Thank you,” I said softly, truly grateful for their love and support, something my biological family would never give.
