“Take the wheel for a while,” he murmured, letting out a shaky breath.
I reached forward and took the wheel carefully, but my eyes were glued to his face instead of the road, worry building, questions rising.
Before I could make sense of what I was seeing, he sat up again and pulled the car over himself, since I clearly wasn’t concentrating. He lowered his gaze to the wheel, and my clenched when his posture faltered.
