“Who exactly are you talking about?” I asked, looking puzzled. The only person I knew she could be talking about was Amira, but there’s no way she would have come here. She wouldn’t have. “Are you talking about her?” I asked, showing her a picture we took when we went for an outing.
“Yes, she’s the one. You knew her all this time?” she asked in shock.
“She came to me by chance, but what do you mean she was here? How did she know about this?” I asked, surprised.
“I don’t know who told her about here, but she’s back, and I’m scared she might find out everything that happened. Now that she’s back, I’m not ready to lose my license as a nurse, nor am I ready to go to jail,” she said.
“You should keep your mouth shut and let me think of a solution to all this. Your ranting isn’t helping,” I snapped at her, making her fall silent.
If Amira came here, then I’m done for. She’s not supposed to know anything until I get her killed. She needs to die so I can live in peace and freedom. I’m still thinking of ways to take her out now that she’s with men who matter, but it won’t happen soon. The best thing to do is make sure she never finds out anything until she dies with her origin.
And the only way to make sure of that is to kill the other person who knows about my dirty secret. I have to kill her to live my life peacefully without any disturbance.
My eyes slowly traveled around the living area, and as expected, a knife was carelessly placed on the table. I picked it up slowly, making sure she didn’t observe me.
“The only way we can be safe is by taking her life. Move closer. I have an idea I’d like to share with you,” I said, and she moved closer to me without thinking.
I took the opportunity and stabbed her right in the chest until she died.

I was busy at the office, hoping to leave early again to meet with the strange nurse. I have a feeling that she knows something about me, and I need to find out what it is.
Her reaction can’t be an ordinary one; there’s definitely more to it, and I have to get to the bottom of it.
I asked my guard to remain there after we trailed her to her house, and I’m sure he’s doing a good job. I have nothing to worry about.
If she proves stubborn today, I’ll have to find her relatives and threaten her with them if that’s the only solution to all of this. I don’t mind doing it.
“How is work going?” Christian asked, walking into my office.
“It’s going well, I think,” I said, sparing him a glance.
“That’s good to hear. I have some good news. Are you willing to hear it?” he asked, grinning.
“Well, if it’s news that involves me, I guess I’m willing to hear it. And that smile on your face is making me curious to know what it is,” I said.
“We’ve just been awarded a contract by JK Company,” he said, making me stand in shock.
“Really? The same contract we’ve been working on?” I asked, covering my mouth in surprise and happiness.
Working on the company’s proposal had been very stressful. They requested a detailed proposal within a week, and the stress was overwhelming.
