I wish Anna were here to witness this. Our daughter never died; she was alive all along, and she was in the mansion we built together. But I was too foolish to notice any of this. We headed back to the mansion to discuss things further. The hospital isn’t the best place to talk about everything; there’s so much we need to say. I need to hear about her—she survived in struggle and pain while I stayed in the mansion, oblivious. I don’t deserve to be a father. If we had searched just a little harder, I would have found her, and Anna would have watched her grow into a beautiful woman.
“I need to leave now. I’ll be back soon,” she suddenly said after receiving a call.
Tristan’s POV
I stayed in my room ever since I heard the shocking news. We were supposed to find out who Amira’s real parents were, but I never considered the possibility that my adopted father could be her biological father.
It’s quite shocking. I’m sad but happy at the same time. Mr. Mico raised me like I was his biological son. I never once felt like I wasn’t accepted. He trusted me as he would trust his own son, giving me everything I ever wanted, regardless of the fact that we aren’t related by blood.
I was adopted and became one of those lucky children who met their destiny helpers—or whatever you call it. I was lucky to be adopted by Mr. Mico. He has never made me feel like I was an orphan or that I wasn’t related to him.
The only people who know I’m not his biological son are the elders of the pack, who were initially skeptical about the whole thing, and a few others who are very close to him. Everyone else believes he is my father. He raised me to be just like him.
At first, the elders told him they couldn’t accept an adopted child as the next alpha. They pressured him to marry another woman and have a biological heir. But he stood his ground because of the love he had for his wife and chose to make me his heir, regardless of what those old men said.
For once in my life, he made me feel accepted. I thought that was just how he was when I brought Amira into the mansion five years ago. But now, it’s clear to me that he was attracted to her because she was his blood—his biological daughter, whom he thought he would never see.

I’m happy I brought her to the mansion, and I’m even more glad that he accepted her. If he had rejected her and the pregnancy she was carrying back then, she would have lost both her daughter and her grandson. It really pays to be good.
But I’m sad because she is now my sister, and I can’t consider her as a lover anymore. I had high hopes when Christian’s proposal went wrong, but now everything is different. She is Mr. Mico’s daughter, which makes her my sister. She would never agree to be in a relationship with me now that she knows she’s related to him. I guess it’s all for the best.
Can I talk her into being with me now that Christian is expecting another baby with Sheela, another woman entirely, and a baby is involved? This is her father’s pack, and she’s meant to rule it since she’s an only child. If she gets married to me, it would make things even easier. Should I try or let things be the way they are?
“Tristan,” Mr. Mico called, pulling me out of my thoughts.
“I really appreciate you for bringing her into this pack five years ago. Who would have thought that the injured lady from five years ago was my daughter? The same child we had been searching for. Her mother died thinking she would never be found, but my dying wish was fulfilled by you, and I didn’t even have any idea. Thank you for fulfilling my wish, Tristan,” he said, hugging me.
“It’s fine, Dad. I’m glad she’s the one,” I simply said, not knowing the right words to express myself.
