“Alpha Gotham!” I called loudly, and his driver stopped immediately.
“What do you want, Luna Vivienne?” he asked, not sparing me a glance.
“I’m sorry for what my son did. That girl influenced him; I’m sure of it. Please forgive him,” I pleaded.
“Let’s discuss this another time,” he said, and his driver drove off immediately, leaving me standing there.
Luna Vivienne’s POV
I stood rooted to the spot as I stared at Mr. Mico, who was waiting patiently for me in my chambers. What exactly is he here for today of all days?
“Mr. Mico, why are you here?” I asked, trying to force a smile. “I shouldn’t have done that. Something very heartbreaking happened to my son p>
“I am here to see you, obviously. I was told you left with Alpha Gotham,” he said, making himself comfortable on the couch.
“Is there anything you need?” I asked impatiently.
“I just have a few questions for you, and I would appreciate it if you could give me an honest answer to each one,” he said calmly.
“Go ahead and ask. I’ll answer if I’m in the best position to,” I replied, trying to make him leave quickly. I need some time to think, because this whole thing is still a surprise to me.
“What exactly did I or Anna do to offend you, for you to do such a thing to us?” he asked, leaving me even more puzzled.
There’s no way he knows about what I did. I took care of the nurse myself. She’s the only one who knows about it, and she has to die now that Amira is seeking the truth.
“What are you talking about?” I asked, trying to play it off.

“Why did you choose to take our daughter away from us and make her live her life as a curse? What exactly have we done? Is our offense so great that you would do something so inhumane to us?” he asked.
He found out! How? Who told him about it? Or is he merely playing a prank to see if I would fall for it?
“What are you talking about? Anna was my friend, and you know how close we both were. So what sort of accusations are you laying against me?” I asked, playing the victim.
“And that’s why I’m even more confused. She was your friend, who treated you like a sister. You were there when we got married, had a child. You watched her become sad and a shadow of herself when we lost our daughter, You said nothing. You watched her die, yet you remained silent. You acted as if you cared, as if you were worried. You pretended you knew nothing about that girl’s disappearance p>
“Of course, I know nothing about your daughter’s disappearance, so why all this talk? Your daughter is probably dead by now—I doubt she’s still alive,” I said, looking away from him.
“Why did you take my daughter from us and pretend you had nothing to do with her disappearance? Why did you make her feel like an unwanted animal among others? Why would you do that to a woman who considered you a sister? Why did you kill my wife and act as if all was well?” he snapped.
“I still don’t understand what you’re talking about, Mr. Mico. How can you come here and accuse me so blindly of something I know absolutely nothing about?” I asked.
