I left her chambers and headed straight to Emily’s. I thought she would make the presence of Dylan known to Christian and the whole Moonlight Pack, but she has chosen to keep it to herself, which makes me wonder why.
“Tristan,” I called, walking toward him. I looked around to see if I would catch a glimpse of Emily close to him, but she was nowhere to be found.
“Dad, where have you been? I’ve been searching everywhere for you,” he said.
“I had to take care of something very important. Where’s Emily?” I asked, still looking around.
“I guess she is with Christian. I haven’t seen her since the meeting ended,” he said.
“Let’s go get her so we can all go back to the mansion together,” I said, making him stare at me in shock.
“I’m sure they just want to be alone after revealing a truth that made them go their separate ways. I think we should just let them be for now,” he said, trying to talk me out of it.
“No, they are not married yet, so they shouldn’t be together—at least not for now. He has to marry her legally, and moreover, she still needs to tell us about her decision,” I said adamantly.
“There they are,” I said, spotting them in a secluded part of the mansion.

“Dad,” she called as soon as she saw me, hurriedly disengaging from the passionate moment they were having. “Mr. Mico,” Christian said, looking disappointed as he stared at me.
“Well, sorry for interrupting the moment. I’d like to take my daughter now. We’re heading back home,” I said, clearing my throat awkwardly.
“But…” he trailed off, looking shocked.
“You know you shouldn’t be doing this with a woman you aren’t married to. This is called defilement. Let’s go home, Emi,” I said.
“We’ll be waiting for you at the garage. Don’t keep us waiting too long,” I said, walking away with Tristan.
“Dad,” Tristan drawled as we walked away.
Christian’s POV
The happiness that surged inside of me when Sheela admitted that her child wasn’t mine is something I couldn’t explain.
I dashed this angel’s hope, but she gave me another ray of hope. She stood undefeated and fearless. This time around, she got me. It felt like she had been fighting a silent war all this while. I thought she had let things be and given up on me, but I had no idea she had something else planned for us.
