“Enough, Mrs. Vivienne,” Mr. Mico said sternly. “I won’t have you come to my company to insult my director. She was already polite enough to explain that you mistook her for someone else. Why make a big fuss over it p>
“I’m so sorry on her behalf, sir,” Alpha Williams pleaded with him.
Emily’s POV
I stood there, pretending not to recognize them as Mr. Mico spoke on my behalf.
“Come with me, let’s discuss the business,” I said, leading the way to my office, feeling relieved to be rid of their accusations.
I walked confidently, not minding Alpha Christian’s stare. “Please, have a seat,” I added, stretching my hand toward the two chairs opposite me.
Already feeling a bit uncomfortable being left alone with Alpha Christian and Luna Vivienne in the office, I tried to maintain my composure.
“Amira… I mean, sorry, Emily,” Alpha Christian began. “My company is really at stake and needs your help. We’ve received piles of cancelled deals in the mail. This company seems to be our last hope p>
“Yes,” I replied, maintaining a cool demeanor. “We promised to try our best to save your company, but we have to see if it’s worth it. We can’t let our company’s growth be dragged down in the process of saving yours.” I shot him a piercing stare.
“Hmm… you know what,” I said, leaning back in my chair. “I’ll give you feedback in two weeks… give me some time to think it through,” I added, already irritated. I knew from the moment I saw them that this wasn’t a good idea.
Luna Vivienne couldn’t hold back. “Respectfully, I don’t think this is a good idea,” she blurted out.
“Respectfully, I won’t tolerate being spoken to in such a rude manner. You are the ones in need of my help, and I don’t think you’ll get any from me if this attitude continues,” I said, already growing angry at her constant disrespect.
“I’m so sorry,” Alpha Christian pleaded on her behalf. “If it’s going to take you two weeks, then we’ll patiently wait for your feedback. Please don’t mind her impatience,” he added.

“Alright, Alpha Christian,” I said, my tone softening. “I don’t mean to be harsh with you, but I hope you understand that I’m doing my job as the director of this company. I can’t allow it to collapse the way yours is at the moment.” I said this with a hint of mockery, knowing they needed me more than I needed them.
Luna Vivienne understood the phrase, turning her gaze to Alpha Christian in anger, wanting to reply, but he gently held her hands below the desk, stopping her from retaliating.
“Alright, we’ll be on our way now. Thanks for considering us. We’ll be looking forward to your feedback,” he said, standing up to leave.
Alpha Christian stared at her in confusion as he shook her hand. Luna Vivienne, enraged, slammed the door behind her, leaving Alpha Christian standing there.
“You look exactly like my Amira,” he said, looking straight into her eyes, making her feel uncomfortable.
“I would love to see this Amira some other time,” I replied almost immediately, wanting him to leave already.
