“I’m going where I have peace, and that’s definitely not here,” he said before walking out on me without a second glance.
Amira’s POV
“Why did you drag me out of Christian’s mansion?” I asked, once we were all settled after the meeting at Moonlight Mansion.
I found his actions both funny and imposing, so I needed to hear it directly from him to understand where I stood.
“You two aren’t legally married, so you shouldn’t engage in such a relationship until he marries you legally,” he said, sipping his usual tea.
I wondered what that tea was for, but seeing the calm way he drank it made me angry. I felt like grabbing the cup from him. He had to disturb me when I was supposed to be having the best night of my life.
“I didn’t do this because I don’t want your relationship with Christian to be as it was, or because I don’t want it to move to the next level. I actually did this to protect you. I’ve lost you once, and I don’t want to lose you again, so you have to bear with me for now,” he said.
“No one is going to harm me now. Sheela is gone, and Luna Vivienne has no reason to fight me when her choice is carrying another man’s child. They killed Adrian together, and knowing how much she loves her son, she wouldn’t want him to end up with such a woman. So, she obviously has no business with me,” I said.
“You know absolutely nothing about Vivienne. If she could watch your mother battling for her life back then and remain quiet, then she is capable of anything—even doing something to you. She obviously has something against your mother. I can’t risk that happening to my daughter, whom I’ve just found,” he explained.
“In addition to that, I think you also know why you refused to introduce Dylan to his father and the pack as a whole,” Tristan added.

“Actually, I did that because I’m not sure yet. I don’t want to endanger my son’s life, and I don’t want to do anything that might emotionally destabilize him,” I said.
“We were expecting you to make his presence known after revealing such important information, but it was surprising that you didn’t,” he added.
“Well, we’ll see to that,” I said, staring off into space.
The next morning, everyone was off to their respective places of work as usual, including Emily.
The mansion was quiet, with only a few guards aimlessly walking around.
Vivienne made her way to the mansion with the intention of seeing Alpha Mico. She entered, saying she would wait behind, and took the opportunity to look around the mansion, hoping to find something.
But instead, she saw a boy who looked like he could be his son…

I was already dressed for work, eager to see Amira today. We didn’t get to finish what we were supposed to the other day, all thanks to Mr. Mico’s interruption.
