He had to come at the wrong time, and he even seemed a bit domineering the way he spoke with Amira. I have a lot of questions to ask, and I’m hoping to get answers to each of them now that we’re on good terms again.
“Alpha!” A guard said, rushing to me with a bow.
“What’s the problem?” I asked, picking up my car keys. I wanted to drive myself to the company; it would be faster, and I couldn’t wait to see the woman who makes my heart flutter.
“The elders are here, my Lord. They said they have something important to discuss with you,” he said, making me glare at him.
Why would they be here this early in the morning for a discussion when I’m prepared to go see Amira?
“Since when do we hold meetings on a weekday?” I asked.
“They said they had to come because it’s so urgent,” he replied.
“Let’s go,” I said, walking ahead of him. Each step I took was filled with frustration, but I didn’t stop moving.
“Greetings, my Lord,” their new spokesman said, and I nodded in reply.
“You should say what you need to say as quickly as you can. I don’t have much time to spend with you all, as you know today is for my company, not for the pack,” I said, checking my wrist for the time.
“We know about that, my Lord, and we apologize for the delay, but it couldn’t be helped,” he said.
“Start talking, or I’ll leave you all standing here,” I warned.
“We’re sorry for bothering you once again, my Lord, but we the elders have discussed this amongst ourselves, and we think it’s time for you to.
Select another candidate to be the future Luna of this great pack,” he said, causing my expression to darken.

“We were there, my Lord, which is even more reason for you to select someone else immediately. If you don’t, your pack members will feel that you’re still affected by everything that happened. “Wait a minute…” I said, making them all look at each other.
“Did you call for this meeting to tell me that you want me to marry your daughters as the Luna of the pack?” I asked slowly, getting up.
“Yes, my Lord. It would unify the pack and strengthen the bond that we all share,” the elder replied.
“I don’t recall telling you that I don’t have a mate or that I wanted to select a random person to be my Luna. In other words, I have my mate, and I will introduce her here soon p>
“I’m in a good mood today, which is why I won’t scold you all. I’ll take my leave if that’s all you have to say,” I said, standing up and not sparing them a glance.
