“Yes, there is one, and he went missing when you came here to meet no one,” Dad said, staring at her.
“What’s going on here?” Christian asked, also walking in. He stared at his mother strangely before walking over to me. I’m sure he followed me all the way here because of the way I ran out of the company.
“What are you talking about, Mr. Mico?” Vivienne asked.
“You’re capable of anything, and this is no mere coincidence. You came here when no one was in, and my grandson suddenly went missing,” Dad said, rising to his feet in anger. “Are you accusing me of kidnapping Your unknown grandson? I don’t even know if you have a silver in this mansion, let alone a kid I don’t know from anywhere. Isn’t this absurd?” she asked, scoffing loudly.
It’s a pity that Christian has to find out this way. Though I’m not ready to say a word yet, I’m not sure my father would be on the same page with me as things stand now.
“What do you mean by grandson? Does Tristan have a child we don’t know of?” Christian asked, staring at everyone in confusion. “And can someone please tell me what’s going on here? You’re all making me even more confused, and it’s driving me crazy,” he said in frustration.
“Emily here is my biological daughter. She is my own flesh and blood,” Dad said, making me close my eyes as the tears began to fall.
I don’t want my son to suffer the same fate I did. I can’t let that happen. I need to be strong for him.
“What? How is that possible? You wanted to marry her off to Tristan. Are you trying to say she’s your daughter-in-law or what?” Christian exclaimed.
“She is my biological daughter, Christian, and she had a son. That boy is missing now, and we all have to find him,” Dad said. Christian’s hand slowly left mine as he looked around the room in shock, as if he were the only one who didn’t understand what was going on.
“You have a son?” he asked, staring at me, looking heartbroken. I nodded slowly in approval.
