“What are you doing out here?” I asked, squatting to his level. A little smile escaped my lips as I stared at his cute pouty face.

“Oh really? How is this your territory?” I asked.
“Well, he’s the heir of this pack, so literally everything here belongs to him. Every darn thing,” Christian said, walking up to us with a smile.

“Fine, you win,” I said, smiling in surrender before hugging him tightly.
“I’ve missed you so much,” I said, kissing him everywhere, making him giggle loudly.

“Is everything okay?” he asked, looking worried.

“I’ll leave you two to talk. I have to keep playing,” Dylan said before running off. He really takes after my cleverness.
“What’s the matter with you?” I asked as we strolled to a quieter place.
“Nothing. Why do you ask? Did something happen?” he asked, looking puzzled.
“Something actually did happen. You happened, Christian. You’ve been distancing yourself from me. You hardly call, and when you do, you try everything you can to keep the conversation short. If I try to make it last longer, you cover it up with excuses. Why are you doing this? Or p>
