Christian’s POV
It’s been months already, and everything is now the way I wanted it—peaceful and calm, without any disturbance or threat from anyone.
Though everything seems to be in place, it’s still not complete. Despite having my son with me, his mother is still not here, making us an incomplete family.
If it were up to Amira, she would have moved in with us without any hesitation. But her father is heavily involved in this situation, and now that he has the daughter he’s missed for years, he will do everything in his power to ensure her life is settled.
I appreciate that about him, though it’s not comfortable for me. But it’s a condition I must accept. He is my father-in-law, after all, and I have to respect his wishes. I wouldn’t want to provoke him into saying that I can’t marry his daughter again because of some small mistake. So, I have to take my time.
According to him, he needs to see the seriousness in me before I can take her as my wife. He also said that I have to show maturity in every aspect, starting with the physical. Lastly, I have to give him a very good reason why I want to make her my Luna, wife, and the mother of my pup. It’s a difficult test, but one I must pass.
So, I’m slowly working towards answering his questions, and I hope to provide all the answers soon so I can return to Amira. I really miss her.
Dylan hasn’t let me rest either. He keeps asking me why his mother hasn’t moved in with us yet. But Mr. Mico said the test should be between the two of us alone, meaning no one is supposed to know about it.
My lips have to remain sealed if I really want to make this happen.
“Dad, you don’t have to lie to me,” he said, staring at me like a psychologist trying to get something out of his patient.
“About what?” I asked, staring at the man before me. He had actually told me not to address him as a boy because he believed he was more mature than his mate, which made him a man.

“Just tell me the truth, okay? I know you love Mum so much, and she loves you as well, because she spends more time with you than with this five-year-old man right here,” he said, pointing to his chest.

“Why have you decided to keep Mum in Grandpa’s mansion when you know full well that families are supposed to live together? The father is meant to bring the family together,” he said.

“You don’t have to think of a lie. I overheard your conversation with Grandpa, and I heard all the conditions he’s put you under. But then, I think you’ve done well in following them, and I’m proud of you. So, in other words, it’s time you bring my mother back, or I’ll leave too,” he said, his hands on his hips.
“So, you really want to leave me too? Does that mean you never liked me as you always claimed? I can’t believe I’m all alone with no support from anyone,” I said, faking a tear, making him sigh loudly, one hand on his chin.
He’s just like an adult, and his way of talking and acting keeps me company every now and then.
“Big boy,” Tristan said, causing him to flee from me and run straight into his arms.
“My uncle is finally here!” he yelled at the top of his voice before whispering something into Tristan’s ear. Tristan nodded in approval, which left me even more confused.
“What are you both talking about?” I asked curiously, trying to walk toward them, but he ran off as soon as his feet touched the ground.
Tristan’s POV
“You should let the young man rest,” I said, holding Christian back from going after him.
I’m finally the alpha of the Blood Moon pack, but I still have Dad and Amira here to support me, so I’m free to go wherever I want.
“What did he say to you?” he asked, curiosity in his voice.
“That’s a secret between us,” I replied, making him groan in frustration.
“So when are you going to do the needful?” I asked, staring at him.
“Well, very soon. I’ll do what’s needed as soon as I can. I just want her to stay with Mr. Mico a little longer so they can get used to each other more,” he said.
“You already have all the necessary things to be with her. You shouldn’t waste too much time. Otherwise, you’ll end up losing her to someone else. Do you want that?” I asked, glancing at him. The change in his expression made me smile a little.
“Who is my rival?” he asked.
“You should know well enough that I can still marry her if I want to, but I’m holding back because of you,” I said with a smirk.
“You’re taking too long to do what’s needed, and she might get tired of waiting. I can also rekindle our old relationship, and you know what that means—if you wait too long, you’ll lose her to me,” I said, my smile turning serious.
“You wouldn’t dare to do that. You can’t do that to me. I trust you,” he said confidently, making me scoff.
“She is your younger sister, and you already see me as a potential groom for her, so I have nothing to be scared of. Instead, I’m confident that you will take any man who goes near her out of the way for me. I trust you to that extent,” he said.
I’m glad he trusts me, and I’m glad I’ll slowly get over this as time goes on.
