Chapter 26
Chapter 26:
It weakened me, making me sick of living, knowing the cursed Omega was still alive. My stomach grumbled as I paced around the room. I left for the dining room, but unfortunately, I came across Adrian.
“Ma’am, I was on my way to your room. Sheelah gave me a real shock…” I silenced him, placing my right hand over his lips to stop him from drawing attention.
“I heard Amira is alive?” he asked.
“Yes, Adrian, and you and I both know that Christian mustn’t find out we were the ones who almost killed her p>
“Then what are we going to do?” he asked, his voice full of fury.
“I’ll figure something out later. For now, I really need to fill my stomach,” I said as I walked downstairs.
After eating as much as I could, I had to leave for Christian’s office. I rushed out of the house and was quickly taken to Stone Tech.
I walked past the staff, ignoring their greetings. All I was focused on was meeting Christian.
“Hi, son,” I said, dropping my handbag on the desk. “What’s wrong? Why haven’t you been coming home to me? Do you want me to fall sick before you come to see me?” I asked, my voice childishly pleading.
“Mum, is this really you? Our family business is at stake, and all you care about is me not coming home? I can’t believe this. This company took so much hard work to build, and now you want it to collapse just like that?” he said, his voice filled with disbelief.
“No, son, why would you say that? I was just worried about you,” I replied slowly.
“You don’t need to worry so much about me. I’m not a kid anymore. You should be more worried about yourself,” he answered, sorting through files on the desk. “And Sheelah?” I asked, watching the now grown man in front of me.
“What about her?” he asked, looking at me.

“She misses you and wants you back home,” I said, trying to persuade him.
“Mum, I wouldn’t want to disrespect you as my mother. I’ve told you countless times that I would never accept Sheelah as my mate. I don’t love her at all; I have no special feelings toward her. It’s Amira I love, and it’s just so hard to get her out of my mind. I should have known this for the past five years,” he said calmly.
“Christian, you know this isn’t possible. Sheelah has been betrothed to you since she was a child. Why do you find it so hard to love her, especially when she loves you so much? Amira, on the other hand, is a cursed Omega. She’s been rejected by many people, and given your current situation, she is not suitable to be your mate or the new Luna of our pack. I don’t want you to make a decision that will cause you pain in the future. Amira is not going to be your mate, and that’s final,” I said, anger boiling inside me.
“Seriously? Huh… So you think you can make decisions for me? I have the right to be with whoever I want, regardless of their class or position, as long as it makes me happy. If you love Sheelah so much, why don’t you marry her off to Adrian and stop ordering me around?” he blurted out angrily.
All of this… all because of a cursed Omega? I thought to myself as I walked out of the office.
