“Yes, so Emily, how do you plan on helping Alpha Christian from here?” He asked, staring at me.
“I’ll assess the situation and work towards helping him. I also need to see the state of the company myself,” I said professionally.
“That sounds like a good plan, but I think it might be a bit stressful for you,” he replied, his words causing my heart to skip a beat.
“How so?” I asked, carefully considering my words as I hoped it wasn’t what I thought.
I really wanted to handle this myself so I could see the end of Adrian and prove those who called me cursed wrong.
“I’m talking about the move,” he explained. “We still need you, and I wouldn’t want you to collapse from exhaustion while trying to revive the company p>
“So instead of staying here, why not move to the Moonlight Pack? That would be easier for you and less stressful. What do you think, Tris?” he asked.
“It sounds like a good idea, but we’re really going to miss her, Dad,” he said, tightening his grip on my hand.
“I understand your point, but we need her in one piece. Once everything is settled with Christian’s company, she’ll be back, and then we can finalize everything related to the upcoming wedding,” he said.
“If that’s the case, then there’s no problem,” Tristan said with a grin.
“We need you to be well, both in body and mind,” he said with a smile, and I nodded back, smiling too.
I always wished that he were actually my biological father. I had never seen a man so caring and loving as he is, and I’m glad I met him.

I couldn’t sleep, eagerly anticipating the new day. And here it was. I couldn’t wait to see Amira, and I also couldn’t wait to see my company return to normal. But Amira was the main reason I was awake early this morning.
“An important visitor will be coming to the company today. I want you all to prepare for her arrival, and I also want her office next to mine,” I instructed my personal assistant as I hurried to my office.

My head turned automatically as I heard a familiar voice.

I quickly corrected myself, noticing the surprised look on her face. “I meant to say Emily p>
“Good morning, Emily. We were just making preparations to officially welcome you to the company,” I said, staring at that beautiful face I had always longed to see. It still felt surreal to have her standing before me. I had spent years thinking about her and had even sworn never to marry anyone else but her.
But here she was, looking as beautiful as always, though there were a few changes. She seemed colder now, unlike before when she appeared so naive and innocent. Still, that didn’t change the fact that she was my Amira, and she still drove me crazy, no matter how she looked.
“There’s no need for all that. Let’s just get down to business. Everyone will get used to me in time,” she said.
