“And as I’ve told you before, you are free to make any decision that seems best for you. Choose based on what you truly feel. Choose what will… Make yourself happy and choose wisely. Do something you won’t regret later in the future. Only then will we truly be proud of you,” he said with a smile.
“I’ll be in my room now,” he added, getting up.
Most of the time, I find myself seeing a father in Mr. Mico. He is the most reasonable and selfless man I have ever met, and I truly wish I had a father like him.
If I hadn’t been hurt back then in the woods, I might never have met such a wonderful man. Despite everything, I’m grateful for what happened.
I’m glad I found someone who cares for me like a father. And I’m glad I have someone who loves me.
“What’s going on, Emi?” Tristan asked.
Alpha Christian’s POV
I decided to remain in my study to clear my mind and push through the worries that were weighing on me. I had been attending to the needs of the company all week, so I figured I could spare the weekend for the pack.
As I sifted through the papers in front of me, I realized that Adrian hadn’t done much to help. In fact, everything was just as I left it, yet he acted as if everything was fine when it clearly wasn’t.
There were too many unanswered questions. I was sure the people had been paying their taxes as required, but there was no record of that here. What was going on? The money I had left in the pack’s account had mysteriously disappeared, leaving only a small sum. Now, I regretted my decision to place Adrian in charge. He wasn’t worth it—not at all.
The pack had been mismanaged, and the finances were in disarray. This was unacceptable.

“Who’s out there?” I asked, my frustration mounting, and one of the guards quickly entered.
“Get me Gamma Adrian,” I ordered, my tone sharp. “Tell him his presence is urgently required. No delays.” I glared at the paperwork in front of me, knowing this was a matter that needed immediate attention.
“Are you searching for someone?” my mother’s voice interrupted, making her way into the study, with Sheela trailing behind as usual.
Sheela’s POV
“Are you looking for Adrian?” Luna Vivienne asked as she walked into Christian’s study, with me trailing closely behind her.
We had been standing outside for a while, waiting. His mother suspected that he would ask about Adrian, so we stayed back until he finally did. And now, here we were.
“Yes, but why are you here instead? Where is Adrian?” he asked, staring at his mother.
“Well, I’m here because you called for him, but he is neither in the mansion nor in the pack at the moment,” she said confidently.
