I opened my eyes, meeting his green ones. I saw the realization dawning, and saw him glance down between our bodies. I knew what he saw.

He began to get up from the bed.
I panicked.
“No!” I surged up, capturing his lips in a fierce kiss, silencing the questions I saw forming.
My hips moved tentatively, grinding against him, seeking friction, seeking to replace the pain with the heat that had been there moments before.

He laughs. As if it’s so funny. As if he can’t believe this is happening. Then he continued.

Then the hunger won.
A low growl rumbled in his chest. With his hand still around my throat, he withdrew almost completely, then drove back into me with brutal force. His grip on my neck tightened simultaneously.

He set a punishing rhythm, deep and relentless, holding my hips hard against the mattress. The bed frame slammed against the wall with every thrust.
The pain began to recede, overwhelmed by a building pressure, a raw, unfamiliar fullness. I clawed at his back flesh and the rhythmic creak of the bed.
