Jackson opened his mouth to respond, but before he could say anything, the doorknob rattled. His heart sank into his stomach. The door creaked open, and there she was–His girlfriend.
Jackson froze, his eyes widening. She stood in the doorway, her hand still on the knob, her face a mix of confusion and disbelief. Her gaze flicked between him and the chained naked girl with her legs wide apart on the bed, and it was like watching a storm roll in. Her lips parted like she wanted to say something, but no words came out. Not yet.

She turned on her heel, storming out of the room, the door slamming so hard behind her that the walls shook. Jackson just stood there, staring at the empty doorway, his chest heaving. The girl sighed dramatically, blowing off a few strands of hair that fell on her face.

He turned off the shower and stepped out of the tub, Noah came to a resolution within his mind. He would have to find a way to push his feelings aside and maintain his professional distance from Isla.
As he stepped out of the bathroom with a towel draped loosely around his waist, he was greeted with the sight of Isla, lying down peacefully on the bed wrapped in his black robe, looking adorably sexy. His heart skipped a beat but quickly pushed the feeling aside, reminding himself of the importance of maintaining a professional distance.
He walked to the bed, his hand reaching for the duvet below her feet but his body stiffened when he caught a full glimpse of her breasts from his robe. He felt his cock throb. Quickly, he covered her body with the duvet and walked to the balcony, where he lit a cigarette that he had picked up from the bedside table.

As time stretched and contrasted, the brewing storm in his mind came to a halt. Noah extinguished the ember–burning end of his cigarette on the metal rail of the balcony.
He walked back into the room. His once–wet body was now dry from the cool evening breeze.
He called room service requesting a new set of duvet, and in no time his order arrived. He slipped on his shirt and a pair of comfy trousers.
Noah threw the set of duvets on the ground, spread the hems out, and laid on it. His eyes darted to the white ceiling then he tilted his body to lie on his sides. As he closed his eyes to let the darkness overwhelm his mildly racing thoughts, an audible vibration on the table broke through the air.
Noah stood up in a lackadaisical motion and reached for the phone, but it wasn’t his -Isla’s phone. Curiosity took hold of him and he glanced at the lit screen to view the caller ID.
He remembered she had mentioned about having a boyfriend. She did not. You just heard her phone say it. The tiny voice in his head countered his assumptions.
Regardless, he peeked at the caller ID, which had a boldly written “Eleanor” on it.
