After picking out my favorite mac and cheese cups and getting a bottle of yogurt drink, I headed to the cashier.

Suddenly, I heard a familiar voice call my name, and I instinctively looked up.
When he confirmed it was really me, Shaun, who had been standing by the door, strode toward me. He was tall and dressed in a camel–colored coat that fit him perfectly. It accentuated his slender frame and dashing features. He looked like the lead actor in a romantic drama
The cashier was so mesmerized by his looks that she nearly forgot to take my payment.
Like me, Shaun hadn’t had dinner yet. He had just finished an experiment and came here to grab some food .
So, we each got a mac and cheese cup and a bottle of yogurt drink before sitting by the window of the convenience store.
It had suddenly started snowing outside . The drifting snowflakes helped calm the chaos in my mind a little.
Shaun glanced at me a few times before finally asking, “Did something happen?”
If I had continued my master’s program, it wouldn’t have been strange for me to be here at this hour. But I hadn’t returned to the university yet. Showing up here this late was a little odd.
I took a sip of my yogurt and similed. “Nope. I just couldn’t sleep, so I went out for a drive and ended up here. I got hungry, so I stopped for some food.
Seeing that I didn’t want to talk about it, Shaun didn’t ask any further. Instead, he started telling me how heathered a lot of information for my master’s entrance exam

Shan stared at the snow outside, which was getting heavier and heavier. He looked as if he was lost in his memories.
“When I was eleven, the snow was even heavier than this,” he said “That night, my mom passed away, my dad was bedridden, and my little sister had a fever that wouldn’t go down.”
He continued, “The old house we stayed in could barely withstand the wind and snow. Askle from the bitter cold outside, there was an even colder draft inside. I thought we wouldn’t make it through the night. I was ready to accept that my entire family would die together that night.”

Realizing that Shaun was trying to comfort and encourage me, a warmth spread through my heart. He had always been so gentle
and warm.
As it was snowing too heavily, I decided to stay at a hotel near Hurley University, worried that it would be unsafe to drive.
Shaun didn’t leave until I had finished checking in.
