Hurt was written all over Irvin’s face , but I remained indifferent.
To me, he was a murderer because he had been a threat to my life numerous times.

He stepped forward and tried to hold me, but I signaled my bodyguards. They immediately stepped in front of me and blocked him.
“Tell him everything he has done to me, Don’t leave out any details,” I ordered them.
If he wanted to feign amnesia to absolve himself of his crimes, then I would ensure the facts were clearly presented to him. He couldn’t erase what he had done just because he claimed to have lost his memories.
With that, I turned and left, completely ignoring his shouts

him. Now that he had regained consciousness, I could no longer hope to become a rich widow. Thus, I had to continue figuring out how to divorce him.
On top of that, my graduate school entrance exam was fast approaching, and I still had a lot of material to review.
I finished my revision list for the day just in time for my scheduled meeting with Mark. Hearing a knock on my door, I assumed it was him. Setting my book down, I went to open the door.
To my surprise, Noah was standing there instead. He was carrying a tray of delicious–smelling food.
“Have you finished studying, Emi?” he asked. “If you have, you should eat something delicious to replenish your energy.”
I smiled at him. He really knew how to take care of someone, and his timing was just right.
I stepped aside and allowed him in. Just as I was about to close the door, I noticed Mark just a few steps away, so I ushered him inside too.
Seeing the tray of food in Noah’s hands, Mark said to me, “Go ahead and eat first, Emilia. We’ll talk later.”
“Let’s eat together. I’ve actually ordered pizza, so we can eat while we talk,” I offered with a smile.
I had troubled Mark a lot quite recently and had been meaning to treat him to a meal, but I just hadn’t had the time. So, eating during our discussion was the perfect solution.
I didn’t mention Irvin had amnesia since I thought he was faking it, so our discussion was focused on the quickest way for me to get a divorce .
However, we kept coming to the same conclusion no matter how much we analyzed things–I couldn’t avoid taking on a huge debt if I wanted to divorce Irvin as soon as possible. And the only way to avoid the debt was to find evidence that he had transferred our joint shares to establish his new company.
Unfortunately, this evidence was hard to find. We can only sigh in defeat.
That was when Noah spoke up. “Actually, you don’t necessarily have to find evidence that Irvin transferred you joint shares. If you can prove he is the largest shareholder of that company and the actual person in control, it should be proof enough.”
Mark and I looked at him blankly. What he said wasn’t wrong, but finding evidence of this was still just as

turned to Noah and was about to tell him not to worry about it, After all , he was just a kid.
But before I could speak , he added , “My uncle has connections. We should be able to find this out pretty quickly if he looks into it .”
I was stunned . What did he mean by pretty quickly? He said it as though it would be a walk in the park.
Mark could tell Noah wasn’t pulling our legs or childishly talking big , so he couldn’t help taking a second look at Noah.
Suddenly, he thought back to a few days ago when Irvin had kidnapped me to trade me for Julianne. He recalled the large–scale search operation that was launched to find me. That hadn’t been something Claudeville’s police force could pull together.
And suddenly, it dawned on him. This unassuming so–called younger brother of mine wasn’t just any average
person.
As for me, I was too preoccupied with getting divorced as soon as possible. So, I didn’t think too much about it.
I merely said with excitement, “Then please trouble your uncle to look into this for us. I’ll owe you one if this works out!”
“Sure thing,” Noah replied with a smile.
And to my utter astonishment, Noah came to me with news in less than three days. He had found the evidence we needed and with such speed!
