Then, she started cackling. Her face was twisted in a mixture of glee and misery. She looked insane.
Seeing this, Shaun pulled her into his embrace.
He never wanted to hurt me. Additionally, he knew his sister’s intentions were wrong. Irvin and I were married, so she shouldn’t have gunned after him because he was already my husband.
Plus, Shaun also knew I wasn’t the kind of person who would intentionally cause Gemma to be violated. That being said, his younger sister had suffered something so agonizing. So, how could she not hate me?

Noticing something about her story, I looked at Gemma.
“You claimed I sabotaged your plan to sleep with Irvin by taking him away, and by doing so, you were assaulted by a client. When did this happen?” I inquired.
“That doesn’t matter!” Gemma screamed. “All that matters is you’re the bitch who ruined my life, and you’ve gotten what you deserved! So what if you have a high position in society? I, a cripple, still managed to take you down! Do you know what people call this? Divine justice!”
Feeling she had nothing useful or meaningful to say, I waved my hand to signal the police to come out.
Shaun was stunned when officers handcuffed both him and Gemma. He couldn’t believe I would call the police.
Gemma violently resisted, yelling, “Why are you arresting me! I’m the victim! She harmed me first! It’s her fault that I’ve suffered, yet you all did nothing! All I did was give her what she deserved, so why are you arresting me!‘
