Chapter 292

The man, Magnus Hardwell, added, “Our family will be immensely grateful toward you if you’re able to cure Tim’s condition, Ms. Quill!”
I had been genuinely against treating Timothy. However, the Hardwell family head had been frank with his request, so I naturally couldn’t continue to be difficult.
So, I replied, “Very well. I’ll try my best, Mr. Hardwell.”
My emotions were in turmoil as I watched the Hardwells leave.
Before, my only focus had been confirming whether Timothy was really Irvin. Now that I had, I suddenly didn’t know what to think or do–especially when he currently thought he was Timothy
Something obviously had to have happened to the real Timothy , judging from how the Hardwells had insisted Irvin was him.
When the heir to such a large family corporation encountered an accident, regardless of where it occurred, it would inevitably trigger a huge upheaval. Additionally, such an incident might even cause their stock prices to plummet.
Thus, the Hardwells‘ insistence that Irvin was Timothy was probably to prevent any turmoil in the company. As such, I would be making things difficult for myself should I insist that Timothy was actually Irvin. Not only that, I would also likely make things harder for Irvin too.
I decided to call William and arrange for us to have a meal together I could hear him chuckling over the phone, but he didn’t refuse me. Instead, he scheduled to have dinner with me tomorrow evening.
I sat down in my chair after hanging up. My thoughts were so jumbled up that I couldn’t make sense of them.
Meanwhile, in Hardwell Manor, Magnus took a sip of his chamomile tea in his study. Then, he slammed the cup down on the table. His gaze was icy and gloomy as he looked at Agatha.
“What is wrong with you? Do you not realize Irvin’s recovery depends on her medical expertise? Let’s not even start with how disgracefully you acted today!” Magnus yelled.
Agatha’s scowl merely deepened at her husband’s harsh scolding.
“I was just afraid she would cause Irvin to recover his memories! She had already captured his attention just from meeting him once. Then, he had triggered a headache just by thinking about her It had been so intense that he lost consciousness.
“The hypnosis had almost failed! So who knows what’s going to happen if we don’t do something to keep them apart!” she argued.
Magnus retorted, “He gets one step closer to remembering who he is each time he thinks about her. Hypnosis isn’t foolproof! And given how he’s been acting lately, there’s no way you can make him completely believe he’s Timothy through hypnosis!”
He was in favor of Irvin taking over as the Hardwell heir. That being said, he wanted Irvin to willingly assume Timothy’s identity to do so, instead of hypnotizing him into believing he was Timothy
The hypnosis idea sounded utterly insane!
Agatha wasn’t done “We can’t allow Irvin to remember who he is! Let’s say he agrees to pretend to be Tim le sake of our family’s fortune, but will he treat Grace well? Will he consider the child in her womb as his own and leave everything to the child?”
Humans were selfish creatures. No person would work their entire life only to give everything they had accomplished to another person’s child–not even if the child was their brother’s.

Magnus frowned at her words. “If he doesn’t, then he doesn’t! Irvin has Hardwell blood flowing through his veins, and that’s good enough for me!”
He didn’t care about birth order–all that mattered to him was that the Hardwell heir was related to them by blood.
“No! It’s already bad enough that he’s the reason Tim is dead. Why should we give him everything our family owns!” Agatha objected.
Magnus‘ head began to throb because of his wife’s obstinance. “You know very well it’s not Irvin’s fault that Tim died. He willingly gave his life to save his brother, so you can’t blame Irvin for it.
“And don’t forget, Irvin’s your son too, Aggie. It’s already very unfair of you to abandon him at birth , so please stop being so biased, alright?”
