Irvin’s words drained the color from Grace’s face, and she looked deathly pale.
But then, she came to a realization and instantly regained her composure. She even wondered what had been wrong with her these past few days. How had she allowed herself to end up in this situation?
Grace had been doing just fine before. So why did she lose her cool ust because I said a few sharp words to her?
She might have come from a prestigious and powerful family, but er brother was gone. Her stepmother now ruled the Keller family, and her stepbrother was the Keller heir. In fact, Grace barely owned any shares left in the Keller family business.
As for the Hardwell family, she would still have a standing in the household if she still had her son–but she didn’t. To the Hardwells, she was just a childless widow. So, what else could Grace be to them besides someone who could be discarded at any moment?
Irvin wasn’t Timothy–he was an impostor. Even so, he was still a Hardwell by blood. Even if he didn’t compare to Timothy, he was still Magnus‘ only living son. Everything the Hardwells owned would undoubtedly be left to Irvin.
If Grace were to clash with me, Magnus would certainly side with her. But if she were to clash with Irvin , there was no doubt Magnus would side with him.
Hence, Irvin had a point. Grace didn’t have the right to mess with me and him.
She might have a high status on paper and an air of superiority, but in reality, she would be treated as expendable in a heartbeat. It was true–she was the one who truly didn’t understand her position.
Grace suddenly began crying as the reality of her position crashed down on her.
Upon seeing this, Agatha grabbed her teacup and hurled it at Irvin. However, Irvin swiftly sidestepped it.
“How dare you dodge it?” Agatha angrily scolded.
Irvin scoffed, “Why wouldn’t I ? ”
“What makes you think you can act so arrogant and domineering! Don’t assume you’ll be the Hardwell heir by default just because you carry our blood. Don’t forget the reason you’re still alive!
“You would be dead right now if it weren’t for Tim! He didn’t save you so you could humiliate his wife like this!”
Each time she thought about how her beloved Timothy had died to save this impostor , she was filled with rage and loathing. She hated that Irvin wasn’t the one who died.
Why did Timothy have to be so compassionate? Why!
Irvin fell silent at the mention of Timothy’s life–saving act.
“Even if Tim hadn’t saved your life, it was still vicious and evil of that woman to hit Grace when she just recently miscarried! And yet, you still protected that woman! What happened to your morals? Or your sense of right and wrong!” Agatha berated.
Her words only made Grace feel even more aggrieved.
Grace’s tears flowed even harder as she choked out, “Regardless, she shouldn’t have hit me. Especially when… when she knew-

“When she knew what? When she knew you just had a miscarriage? ” Irvin finished for her.
Grace didn’t answer. She just felt even more wronged and miserable .
Agatha snapped, “That’s right! Emilia Quill knew Grace recently had a miscarriage. She knew her body was weak and fragile. And yet, she still hit Grace anyway. Not only does that make her vicious and evil, but she’s practically a murderer!
“So, I don’t care what you think! That woman has to apologize to Grace! And once she does , I’ll have her beaten tenfold!”

Before Agatha could say anything else , he turned to Grace and said “ If you think Emilia is vicious and evil for laying a hand on you , despite knowing you recently miscarried, then what does that make you?
“You knew her grandmother was frail. Yet, you still sent someone to antagonize her and nearly killed her. Doesn’t that make you vicious and evil too?”
