At the same time, the same video was also delivered to Noal’s grandfather, Mr. Hull Senior.

“This is the woman Noah’s interested in? He refused a marriage alliance with Ms. Charter because of her?” Mr. Hull Senior questioned incredulously.
His butler, who had been by his side for decades, lowered his head respectfully and answered, “Yes.”
Mr. Hull Senior scoffed. “What kind of judgment does he have? It’s no wonder he doesn’t measure up to his uncle.”
Noah might be excellent, but at his age, William had already built up the Ashfords into the wealthiest family in Redwood. In terms of cunning or any other aspect, he was still far behind William.
The loyal butler remained silent as he respectfully stood off to the side.
“If anyone else was still left in this family, I’d never even consider passing it to Noah!” Mr. Hull Senior exclaimed, pounding his cane hard against the floor.
The Hulls had built their fortune from casinos. Their business had shady beginnings, which meant they also had a lot of enemies.
Originally, Mr. Hull Senior had three sons and one daughter. But over the years, his sons had all passed away and hadn’t left him any grandchildren. The only grandchildren he had were from his deceased daughter.
Noah had potential and was also backed by his powerful uncle. Even so, Mr. Hull Senior barely felt at ease in handing the Hull family over to him.
But who would’ve thought Noah was so blinded by love that he would refuse such a strategic marriage–just to chase after a divorcée three years older than him!
If Mr. Hull Senior could still have children, he’d rather do that and raise them as the family heir.
Still, the loyal butler remained silent.
After fuming for some time, Mr. Hull Senior said, “I heard this woman owns a few companies.”
“Yes.”
“Arrange for people to stir up trouble in her companies. Let’s see if that’ll knock some sense into her.”
“Yes, sir.”
The butler acknowledged before leaving to carry out the order.
At the airport, I stepped out of the restroom in fresh clothes just in time to board my flight.
Since it was a long–haul international flight, the first–class cabin featured mini–suites. A flight attendant was leading me toward my suite when William’s assistant, Matthew, happened to exit one of them after giving a report.
Matthew was momentarily surprised to see me, but quickly recovered and greeted me. “Hello, Ms. Quill!”
I glanced at him and then toward thè suite behind him. “Is Mr. Ashford on this flight too?” I asked.
“Yes, Ms. Quill.”
Since we were on the same flight, I had to say hello to William. So, after placing my things in my suite, I went over to his.
William didn’t seem surprised to see me and was about to make a call when I entered. He signaled with his eyes for me to take a seat before proceeding with his call.

Throughout the call, he spoke fluently in the Falver language with accurate pronunciation–good enough for people to mistakenly think he was a native Falverian if they couldn’t see him
Soon after, William finished his call and then looked at me.
“Are you going to Falveria for the academic exchange conference? he asked.
“Yeah,” I replied.
I didn’t find it odd that he knew why I was traveling to Falveria. After all, it was child’s play for someone like him to learn my whereabouts.
“You haven’t eaten yet, correct? Let’s have something together,” William suggested.
Then, he pressed the button to call the flight attendant over so we could order.
After we did, I looked at him and asked, “Have you questioned Henry again, Mr. Ashford?”
Before boarding the plane, I saw Julianne on the news in the lounge. The news reported that she was a rising artist who had been invited to appear on a show.
I couldn’t stand seeing her live so freely after everything she had done. So, aside from greeting William, I also wanted to check on how things were developing with Julianne’s situation.
“Your father gave Julianne a variety of drugs to help improve her frail health. Right now, he claims he doesn’t know which of those drugs resulted in the unique antibody in her blood. For all he knew, it was the combined effect of all of them.
“I already have people running experiments with those drugs, but it’ll take time,” William answered.
Hearing this, I became pensive and didn’t say anything more for a while.
Although I hated Julianne so much, I still hoped Noah’s sister would recover.
