If William’s chaotic thoughts had all been because Grace had put of an act as part of her scheme, it all added up now. And as expected, it made perfect sense. He wasn’t angered by the truth , nor did he want to kill Grace. Instead, he felt a strange sense of relief.

Grace’s heart had been stuck in her throat the entire time. It was only after she saw him close the door did she finally exhale in relief. Although she and her closest aide had sighed in relief, they still remained tense out of fear that William might return unexpectedly again.
30 minutes had passed with no sign of William returning. Only then did the pair finally allow themselves to fully relax and sink back in their chairs in relief.
After regaining his composure, her aide instinctively wanted to make a comment, but one sharp look from Grace instantly silenced him. That one look seemed to say, “The walls have ears, so be mindful of where you are before you speak!”
If it hadn’t been for Grace’s quick thinking, the two of them could’ve been done for because of his slip of the tongue. Realizing just how close he had come to making a catastrophic mistake, her aide didn’t dare make another sound.
After returning from Falveria , Irvin kept sending me gifts. Every one of them was something I either liked or needed.
Just as I had always done, I accepted them all at face value. That being said, I still remained completely unmoved when it came to him.

“Emi,” he called.
The snow on top of him scattered as he rushed toward me and blocked my path. However, I didn’t even spare him a glance. I merely stepped around him so I could continue forward.
Just as he was about to grab me, I coldly warned, “If you dare touch me, I’ll expose the truth that you’re Irvin Sawyer and not Timothy Hardwell. I’ll throw the Hardwell family into chaos and make you lose your right to inherit everything!”
Irvin’s outstretched hand froze in midair. He didn’t particularly desire the Hardwell heir role, nor was he afraid of losing everything he currently had. However, if he could no longer be the heir of the Hardwell family, he wouldn’t be able to continue protecting me.
