Chapter 508
508
Agatha stared up at Irvin with wide, disbelieving eyes. “You… You actually dodged! You actually dared to move out of the way!”
She couldn’t believe Irvin had actually moved out of the way and let her fall to the ground. She was his birth mother for crying out loud. His actions dumbfounded her.
Meeting Agatha’s gaze, Irvin huffed coldly. “Aren’t you the one who said I was born evil? Isn’t it normal for an evil person like me to treat you this way?”
His words made Agatha breathless with anger. She wanted to scold Irvin, but she couldn’t even refute what he had said.
What did it mean to be born evil? Someone born inherently wicked was devoid of human emotions and utterly lacked humanity. And would an inhuman person care if someone else fell, regardless of whether that person was their own mother?
That being said, if Irvin really was such a person, why would he still be willing to die even after knowing Agatha wanted him dead? Wouldn’t an evil person want to stay alive and let everyone else die?
On the day Irvin had said those words, Agatha had been so shocked She had also felt vindicated that he was born inherently wicked.
However, after returning to her room , she had thought about it. And the more she had, the more she couldn’t keep from feeling that a truly evil person wouldn’t be like this.
Because of the enlightened shaman’s prophecy, Agatha had spent years looking into case studies of those born wicked. All the people in these case studies were heartless , ruthless, and completely inhuman. They all rather someone else died than
themselves.
This made Agatha unable to help but wonder if that shaman had made a mistake all those years ago. Because of this, she had been avoiding Irvin these past few days. She had also stopped trying to poison him.
But today, after encountering Irvin’s violence toward Grace, Agatha once again couldn’t help feeling Irvin was evil.
And yet, when he had mocked her for calling him as such and claimed it was typical behavior, she involuntarily felt otherwise again. She also couldn’t stop herself from again doubting and suspecting that the shaman’s divination back then had been
wrong.
Agatha snapped out of her thoughts. And when she realized what she had been thinking, she couldn’t help wanting to slap some sense into herself.
Regardless of whether Irvin was actually born evil, the scoundrel shouldn’t have harmed Grace. Pushing herself off the ground, Agatha lunged at Irvin again.
“As a man, how could you raise your hands against a woman, especially one who’s pregnant! I’m warning you, if anything happens to the babies Grace is carrying, I’ll definitely make you pay for it! I’ll make your life a living hell!” she screamed.
However, Irvin showed no reaction to Agatha’s threats. He had stopped caring about his life long ago. Besides, she already wanted to take this life .
Agatha’s gaze instantly turned perverse when she realized that. With the scary fierceness of a lioness defending her cub, she -said, “You may not care about your own life, but you must care for your ex–wife’s, right? So, I’ll warn you again, Irvin.
“If anything happens to Grace’s unborn babies, I’ll make sure your ex–wife suffers for it! So, no matter what happens from now on, don’t you dare lay a finger on Grace again. Otherwise , I swear I’ll make you regret ever being born!” she threatened.
Irvin had originally intended to ignore Agatha and just walk away. But after hearing her threat , something suddenly didn’t sit right with him. The intensity of her reaction didn’t make sense.
Agatha seemed too invested in the twins Grace was pregnant with just like how she had been with Grace’s previous pregnancy. But why would she care so much about Irvin’s children when she didn’t even care about him, her biological son?
Unless… Unless the babies Grace was carrying weren’t his.
