Chapter 515

“Okay, ” I responded. I didn’Unced Irvin to explain further. I already knew the most important thing right now was to get out of there before we talked about anything else.
In order to successfully put the blame of this criminal organization on Irvin when Timothy returned to the Hardwells, he had devised a plan.
After becoming the leader, he used Irvin’s biometric information while building the new base. He even introduced himself as Irvin when he had to occasionally remove his mask when meeting the organization’s trusted higher–ups.
All of it had been carefully orchestrated to fabricate proof that Irvin had been in charge of the organization for the past two years and had committed all the crimes.
Little did he know that all of these would end up helping Irvin sneak in quietly and leave with me. After all, he looked exactly like Timothy.
Otherwise, with how heavy the security was–guards stationed every few steps, and patrol teams making rounds every minute- even if Irvin had successfully replaced the surveillance footage, it would have been extremely difficult to get me out.
Just as Irvin was leading me out of the organization’s inner compound, Timothy was about to have dinner in the most luxurious room when his phone suddenly rang.
When he saw that it was a call from Grace, he raised an eyebrow and answered: He leaned back lazily in his chair, ready to tease her.
But then he heard her say, “Irvin found out that you’re still alive. He got your contact info from me a few days ago. I don’t know if he’s used that to mislead you in any way, but be careful.”
Timothy’s body, which had just relaxed against the chair, instantly tensed. “Why are you only telling me this now?”
“I’ve been under constant watch by his people. This was the first chance I had to call you,” she explained.
“So you weren’t the one who called me three days ago?” Timothy suddenly recalled the long phone call from Grace three days ago and the link she had sent him.
His face turned grim in an instant.
“That wasn’t me,” she replied. “Irvin must have faked the call somehow.”
Upon hearing that, Timothy’s expression darkened even more. “Idiot. I never should have contacted you!”
He had believed his plan was foolproof. There was no way Irvin would ever discover he was still alive.
And everything had been going smoothly over the past two years.
But not long after he reached out to Grace , the news of him being alive got out. He was sure she had accidentally let something slip and caught Irvin’s attention.
Grace also felt the same. Or maybe it had been what she said at my engagement banquet with William , when she suddenly suggested that Irvin replace Timothy , that triggered his suspicion.
And when I disappeared, Irvin’s suspicions were confirmed.
Even so, Grace would never admit it was her fault. “This isn’t on me! Maybe someone took a picture when you pretended to be Irvin and kidnapped Emilia.”
She continued, “Before she went missing, Irvin never suspected you were still alive. He even wanted to give me one last chance and treat me well as his sister–in–law, out of gratitude for you saving him.”
Timothy instinctively wanted to deny it. The kidnapping had been perfectly executed. There was no way anyone could have taken a photo that exposed him.

But as another thought crossed his mind, he suddenly lost all desire to argue. He cursed Grace one last time , calling her an idiot, before ending the call.
