William had never met someone who was as hard to define as Irvin

Irvin had done such deeply hurtful things to me. So, it didn’t make sense to say he loved me. Yet, for the sake of my happiness, he even risked his life to save his rival in love. So, it also wasn’t accurate to claim he didn’t love me.
William had confirmed, without a doubt, that Irvin had indeed saved him. Upon hearing this, Noah was at a loss for what to say.
Just as he found himself again and was about to speak, Matthew arrived with news. He reported that Timothy was once again deploying personnel to assassinate William and me in Solmera.
William’s hand clenched tightly around the cigarette he was holding. His eyes darkened, cold and deadly. No matter what it took, he would kill Timothy and destroy that criminal organization
Struck by inspiration, he immediately ordered his people into action.
William was a businessman who had built his empire lawfully, never once resorting to legally grey means. This had made him wealthy and influential.
Even so , wanting to bring down the largest criminal organization in the world’s most lawless region was impossible for someone like hìm.
That being said, William had plenty of money. And in this world, money could accomplish nearly everything. He might not have the raw power to destroy that organization himself, but he could use his immense wealth to incite greater forces to wipe them
out.
To carry out this plan more effectively–and to ensure I was better protected and nothing would happen to me–William brought me back to Redwood with him.
He was the richest man in Redwood, and this city was his turf. Not even the smallest ripple could escape his notice here. So, if Timothy wanted to assassinate me in Redwood, it was close to impossible.
William had explained his plan to me. So, I didn’t insist on staying in Solmera to wait for Irvin to be rescued. I might be closer to Irvin by staying there, but it would only hinder his rescue.
I wasn’t idle, either. While William was busy looking for the right people to execute his plan, I reached out to the research titans I knew. I informed them that Timothy’s criminal organization had kidnapped many researchers.
The top researchers often knew each other and had connections. Our strength would be greater if everyone combined their efforts to rescue the kidnapped researchers.
While William and I were preoccupied with rescuing Irvin, his parents–Magnus and Agatha–came to see us.
William had immediately contacted Magnus and informed him of vin’s situation after the fact. He had hoped he would use the Hardwells‘ connections to help with Irvin’s rescue.
Magnus hadn’t agreed or refused at the time . He just told William to wait for him to come and meet us.
Naturally, Magnus was aware that Irvin had used the Hardwells‘ connections to rescue me.
Irvin and William had gone to rescue me together. However, William and I were fine while Irvin had been shot and was now missing.
Knowing this, Magnus‘ expression was frighteningly thunderous. When he looked at me, could kill me.

Magnus might be itching to end my life, but he merely glared daggers at me and did nothing. Instead, it was Agatha who charged at me to slap me fiercely across the face.
Not waiting for me to dodge out of the way, William–who was standing beside me–grabbed Agatha’s wrist mid–swing. The gaze he directed at her was so terrifyingly severe that, at that moment, she didn’t dare press forward.
Instead , she wailed, “You’re a curse! A scourge! It’s not enough that my Timothy died because of you, but now you want the same to happen to Irvin too? Why didn’t you die instead? It should’ve been you!”
