Chapter 569

Grace was about to comment on William’s nemesis. But then, Agatha opened the door and entered.
Timothy frowned in annoyance when he saw her.
Agatha was now fully alert. She was aware that this wasn’t some beautiful dream she would wake up from. She also knew that Timothy was truly alive and well.
However, the pain of losing him had been too intense. So, she still couldn’t control her urge to keep Timothy constantly in her sight. She was even personally cooking all of his meals, just to make her son eat healthier and feel more loved.
And it wasn’t just breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Agatha also made him supper. And right now, she had come to bring him just that.
She believed her motherly love was exactly what Timothy wanted most. However, she failed to notice that he didn’t want it at all. In fact, he even detested it and felt she was treating him like livestock.
Every day, Agatha did nothing but constantly watch Timothy and force–feed him food. He was truly fed up with it. He really wished he could throw her into a care facility so that she would be cut of his sight and his hair..
Now that Timothy had full control of the Hardwells, Agatha had outlived her usefulness. With that realization, his eagerness to lock her away in a specialized care facility–so that she could never bother him again–grew.
People were blinded when they poured all their affection into a single person. Hence, even though Timothy displayed his annoyance plainly and obviously, Agatha just didn’t see it.
All she could see was her beloved son sitting before her, safe and sound. Not only that, he was even snuggled up with his wife and looking blissfully happy.
This image alone filled Agatha with such emotion that she couldn’t stop her tears of joy from welling up and spilling down her cheeks.
She had believed she would never see her precious son again in this lifetime. She had never imagined this day would come, that she would still have the chance to see her beloved son happy and thriving.
And when Agatha thought about how Grace would soon give her a pair of beautiful grandchildren, she was even more overwhelmed with joy and cried even harder.
She thought to herself that living truly was a gift. As long as she was still alive, anything was possible.
Worried Timothy would see her tears, Agatha hurriedly lowered her head and wiped them away. She was afraid he would mistakenly think she had relapsed into another “episode“, call someone to evaluate her, and have her medicated or sedated.
Taking a few deep breaths, Agatha smiled before lifting her head back up. Walking briskly toward Timothy, she said, “Come, Tim, Grace. Stop working for a bit and have a late–night snack. You’ll only have the strength to continue pushing forward once you do.”
Even though Agatha had covered it up quite well, Grace still noticed her reddened eyes. She couldn’t help sighing inwardly at the
sight.
The world really was ironic. People would forever desire what was out of their reach. Yet, no matter how much they longed for it, they would never obtain it. Meanwhile, people would always take for granted what they already had.
Timothy only grew more irritated when he saw Agatha’s endeared and eager–to–please smile.
“How many times do I have to tell you? I’m not hungry, and I don’t eat supper! So, stop bringing me snacks at this hour. Can’t you busy yourself with your own things? Stop hovering around me all the time! Don’t you know how annoying it is!” he snapped.
Agatha was at a loss for how to react to Timothy’s outburst.
She had painstakingly stewed the soup for five hours. Yet, not only had Timothy not taken a single sip of it , but he had even

called her annoying.
Despite this, she was neither sad nor hurt. Instead , she couldn’t help reflecting on herself.
Maybe she really had been smothering Timothy and constantly hanging around him too much. It was to the point where she was getting in his way while he was trying to work.
The more Agatha thought about it, the more convinced she became that she was at fault. Quickly collecting herself , she carefully apologized to Timothy and told him not to be angry. Then , she told him she would leave right away.
Timothy waved her off impatiently, hurrying Agatha to disappear from his sight.
