Regina had deceived Henry for the sake of searching for a heart for another man. When Henry learned of this, he was even more overcome with grief.
And what made it worse was that Julianne wasn’t even Regina’s an her ex–husband’s daughter. Instead, Julianne was born from her affair with this lover while she was still married to her ex husband.
Worse still, Regina’s lover was inferior to Henty in every way and was even married too. He didn’t treat her well at all, but still, she loved him and was willing to do anything for him.
Regina’s lover had developed a heart disease and was left with days to live. Even so, she had still stayed by his side and given him everything.
She had even gone as far as to fake having a heart disease just to k Henry into getting a heart. And all the money Regina had gotten from him over the years by playing the victim had all been given to her lover too.
Henry had done so much for her sake. He had even risked his life by dealing with that criminal organization. Then, he had even gone as far as to leverage his own mother’s life for Regina’s sake. However, all of it was just a setup she had crafted for another
man.
When Henry realized this, he was filled with disbelief.
Then, he thought about Julianne. He had doted on her all these years because of Regina. It had been to the point where he had neglected me, his own biological daughter, despite Julianne’s repeated attempts to kill me. And yet , she was also that man’s daughter.
Realizing this, Henry felt he had been the biggest joke in the world since the start. Unable to bear it any longer, he went mad. He thrashed around at home as he had a mental breakdown.
Mom was pacing anxiously outside the hospital’s emergency room
Julianne had been imprisoned. Having lost all hope and convinced she would never get out, she had attempted to end her life.
Prison inmates didn’t stay locked in their cells all day. They were required to do manual labor, and female inmates were usually assigned to sewing and garment work.
While working on a garment, Julianne took advantage of a moment when the guards weren’t paying attention. Picking up a pair of scissors, she stabbed herself in her abdomen.
She had originally planned on lacerating her spleen and causing it to rupture so that she would die on the spot. Then, she wouldn’t have to suffer a secondary punishment. After all, it wasn’t easy to commit suicide in prison.
But in her rush, Julianne had missed her spleen. So, instead of dying on the spot, she had been rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment. And because Mom had spared no effort to save her, in the end, she had been brought back to life.
When Julianne had regained consciousness and saw that she was still alive, she nearly went insane in the hospital.
Just then, a female officer led Mom into the room. Seeing that Julianne was awake, Mom didn’t care what the officer might say. She immediately rushed over to her bedside and held her hand sorrowfully.
Mom exclaimed, “Why would you resort to something so desperate, Lianne? Please, don’t ever do something like that again! No matter what happens, you still have me. I’ll do everything I can to get you out of prison!”
Mom had done everything she could to save Julianne. And after saying such heartfelt words, she believed Julianne would surely burst into tears and throw herself into her arms. She had assumed ulianne would be deeply moved.
But to her shock, Julianne didn’t leap into her arms, nor was she moved. Instead, she yanked her hand back in disgust and
annoyance.
