William looked relaxed earlier. However, he instantly looked terrifyingly serious after hearing the news!
“What happened?” William could always look indifferent when facing anything, except when it came to his nephew and niece . He could never stay calm when something happened to them.
“Mr. Noah was ambushed by the Baker family in Eutanzia, and he lost control of his car and drove off a cliff!” the butler
exclaimed.
Upon hearing that, William accidentally smashed his cup in his hard. His face fell, and he looked even more terrifying than
earlier.
There was a murderous intent in his gaze, and it would make anyone tremble in fear. Even the butler’s legs started shaking.
However, I didn’t notice how horrifying he looked at that moment. After hearing that Noah’s car had gone off a cliff , my mind went blank. I didn’t know what to think at all, and I didn’t dare to think what had happened!
I had known Noah for years, and he was already like an important family member to me. So, I couldn’t accept what I had just heard.
I was terrified that I might never see him again. In fact, I was so scared that my legs went numb, and I almost collapsed to the
floor..
Fortunately, William caught me in time.
“Don’t worry. I’ll check out what happened. It might not be as serious as you think, so don’t think about it first. Since you’re pregnant, you should prioritize your own safety at all times.”
I count help looking up at him. No matter what happened, he was always reliable, and he could always calm me down. It felt like he was so capable that nothing could ever bring him down.
When he met my gaze, he said gently, “Don’t worry. Nothing will happen to Noah.”
I wanted to instinctively say that there was no way that was true because Noah had fallen off a cliff. However, I realized that there might be an ocean below it or that the cliff might not be that high up.
I figured I had to be positive. After all , that was how a person could attract all the great things in life. If one focused too much on negativity, it would only be amplified and cause more disasters to happen.
So, I didn’t say what I wanted to say earlier. Instead, I looked at William with a strong gaze and grabbed his arm tightly. “Yeah. I’m sure Noah is fine. So, you shouldn’t worry too much about it as well!”
William didn’t look anxious at all. Instead, he was calm and collected.
However, knowing how much he cared about his nephew, I knew he was afraid as well. So, I tightened my grip on his arm, trying to give him some support.
“Nothing will happen to Noah. You should go and look for him. I’m sure you’ll be able to bring him home soon ! ”
Hearing my heartfelt words, William’s eyes lit up with hope, and he couldn’t help holding me tightly in his arms , “ Yeah. I’m going to search for him now. I’ll definitely bring him home!”
Before I could say anything else, he let go of him and left the room in a hurry.
After William had left , I immediately got someone to search for Noah as well. Suddenly, I remembered something and hurriedly contacted a big shot I knew. I remembered how this person had some score to settle with the Baker family as well.
If I could contact him and get him to deal with the Bakers together William would have a better chance of winning.
When I managed to contact him, he didn’t give me a definite answer. So , I started racking my brains to think about who else had a grudge for the Baker family. I wanted to see if I could form an alliance with them so that we could defeat the Bakers together .
