Irvin’s face had already flushed from drinking in the first place. His cheeks became an alarming red after Julianne splashed the diffuser on him.
When she lunged toward him, he instinctively reached out and held her. Every cell in his body burned with heat. They screamed at him to tear off the clothes of the woman in his arms without hesitation.
Just as his hands instinctively began to yield to his primal urge, a scent entered his nose. It caused him to gain some clarity at that heated moment.
This scent wasn’t mine!
In the next second, he instinctively pushed away Julianne and threw her off the bed. He wouldn’t touch any woman who wasn’t me. He knew that I demanded absolute loyalty in a relationship. If he sullied himself, I would never want him again.
Even in his muddled state, Irvin knew what I cared about and where my boundaries lay. When he was sober, he knew this all the more. He had always known, yet he took my love for granted and recklessly tested the limits of my boundaries again and again.
The sudden force with which he pushed Julianne off left her stunned. But at this moment, she couldn’t afford to dwell on it. The overwhelming heat surging through her body drove her to pounce on him again.
However, despite aiming directly for him, she missed and fell to the floor instead. She had a weak body and couldn’t withstand the repeated falls. So, after two failed attempts, she was unable to get up anymore.
Feeling helpless, she whimpered pitifully, “Irvin, I’m in pain. Help me…”
Her voice caused his foggy mind to clear up even more. With much difficulty, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone to make a call. Then, he stumbled toward the bathroom and locked himself in.
No matter how loudly Julianne called for him outside, he didn’t open the door. In truth, even if he wanted to open it, he no longer had the strength to even stand up. The combined effects of the alcohol and the diffuser left him unconscious as soon as he managed to separate himself from Julianne.
As Julianne crawled toward the bathroom, she accidentally cut her hand on a broken vase that Irvin had knocked over earlier. The pain brought her a moment of clarity.
Upon realizing that Irvin wouldn’t open the door no matter how much she shouted, she fumbled to retrieve her phone and called Travis.
Travis, who had booked a room downstairs for his own escapade, answered Julianne’s call immediately and rushed over.
Fearing that she might lose consciousness before carrying out her plan, Julianne picked up a shard of broken porcelain and deliberately cut herself again. She did this to ensure that she stayed alert.
She was surprised by how quickly Travis arrived, but there was no time to dwell on it. With much urgency, she instructed, “Irvin made a phone call earlier. I suspect it was to his private doctor. Get someone to intercept him on the way!”
Having regained some clarity from the pain, she remembered the call Irvin had made.
She then went on, “And open the bathroom door for me!”
At this point, she was determined to sleep with Irvin that night no matter what. If she missed this opportunity, she feared she might never get another chance.

Travis had worked for Irvin for years. So, he understood his boss‘ personality well. He knew that if Julianne failed that night, trying to do this again in the future would be nearly impossible. Without needing further explanation, he got to work immediately.
After calling someone to intercept Irvin’s private doctor, he pried open the bathroom door.
Inside, they found him lying unconscious on the floor. Travis exchanged a glance with Julianne and helped her into the bathroom as well.
