He left for work with an insulated lunch box, savoring the breakfast his wife lovingly prepared for him during the car ride to the office.
He enjoyed it wholeheartedly and felt content.
The driver and bodyguard, who were in the same car as Zachary, were a bit bemused. The breakfast Serenity made was quite simple, yet the usually picky Zachary relished every bite. Perhaps Serenity’s cooking skills were exceptional.
After Zachary departed, Serenity routinely called her sister and left the house, reassured that her sister was doing well.
Upon exiting, she encountered rush hour traffic, which became increasingly congested as she progressed halfway through her journey.

While her brother and sister-in-law enjoyed a loving breakfast together, Elisa quietly slipped out of the house and secretly prepared some breakfast for Zachary.
She had the chef at home prepare it specially, then cut a large bunch of fresh flowers from her garden and wrapped them up.
Carrying the bouquet and the lovingly prepared breakfast, Elisa set off for Zachary’s office. She aimed to arrive before he entered the building, so she could stop his car in the traditional way and hand him the breakfast she had meticulously prepared. Even though everyone, including her sister-in-law, urged her to forget about Zachary, Elisa was determined not to give up without a fight.
If Elisa could have forgotten Zachary, she would have done so long ago. However, after all this time, she still couldn’t let him go, and she thought she would give it one last shot.
She would only concede if she failed to win his heart after three to five years.
Traffic had come to a standstill, and as the minutes slipped by, Elisa’s anxiety grew. If she remained stuck, Zachary would have started work by the time she reached York Corporation, rendering her efforts to navigate the morning traffic pointless.

She called her bodyguard to inform him of the location of her car parked on the roadside, asking him to retrieve the spare key from home to drive it back for her.
After hanging up, the traffic finally began to move. Seizing the moment, Elisa maneuvered her car to the side of the road and parked in front of a store. After snapping a quick photo and sending it to her bodyguard, she grabbed a bouquet and a lunch box from the car and stepped onto the roadside to flag down a bike.
Fortunately, she managed to stop Serenity, who was passing by.

There was a sense of familiarity between them, as if they had known each other for decades. However, they were merely strangers. This was the first time Elisa had experienced such feelings for someone she had just met. Serenity retrieved a spare helmet from the trunk and handed it to Elisa. “Put this helmet on to avoid any issues with the traffic police,” she said. Elisa accepted the helmet and donned it.
