“I hope you’re not busy, Serenity.” The students were already in class when the mother and daughter arrived. Noticing the lack of activity in the shop, they concluded that Serenity’s business was struggling. They believed they had made the right decision to encourage Hank to evict her.
It seemed unlikely that Serenity was making any money, as her business was slow, and the rent in the area was high. It was no surprise that she had to work tirelessly on crafts to sell online. If Hank hadn’t kicked her out, she would still be relying on his support.
Liberty’s extravagant spending likely included financing her sister.
The idea of splitting expenses was a wise one, as it significantly piqued Hank’s interest, or so Mrs. Brown and her daughter thought.
