Grandma May was left speechless.
Zachary was indeed an unromantic blockhead!
She had to be the bad cop, nagging Zachary for two to three months, which eventually annoyed him enough that he promised to marry Serenity, thus ending his bachelorhood. Otherwise, he might have remained single well into his forties due to his personality.

“She doesn’t need anything. The balcony at home is filled with flowers. She can enjoy them whenever she wants p>
Grandma May felt like kicking Zachary, but she refrained.
After all, if she kicked her own grandson, it would break her heart too.

Liberty smiled as she walked out with her son in her arms, inviting her brother-in-law inside.
Zachary greeted Liberty politely. When he saw Sonny reaching out to him, Zachary picked him up. The little boy greeted him with a sweet voice.

Zachary wasn’t fond of dealing with Hank, but he adored Sonny because the little guy was incredibly lovable.
Out of the corner of his eye, Zachary noticed Liberty’s round face and suddenly recalled his encounter with Hank at the hotel. The bodyguard had mentioned that a young, beautiful woman was with Hank, and they appeared quite affectionate.
Was Hank cheating on Liberty?
The man resembled Hank, but Zachary didn’t stop to scrutinize him closely. Doubts lingered in his heart, yet he chose not to share them with Liberty. He feared that if he misidentified the man and informed Liberty, it could jeopardize their relationship.
Meanwhile, Jasmine tidied up the store and made space for a table that she brought out. Upon seeing Zachary, she greeted him while continuing to wipe the table. Zachary noticed that Serenity was absent and assumed she was still occupied in the kitchen. He wondered if Elisa had really purchased that much seafood.
“Zack, hand Sonny to me and go check on Serenity in the kitchen,” Grandma May instructed, guiding her grandson toward the kitchen. Liberty and Jasmine overheard her and tactfully chose not to follow, allowing the young couple some privacy.
Jasmine was aware that Serenity and her husband were at a standstill and hoped that in those few minutes, Serenity could clarify things to Zachary. She didn’t want Zachary to think she was trying to play matchmaker for Serenity and Shawn. Jasmine swore she had never considered matchmaking her best friend with her cousin, knowing that Serenity viewed Shawn only as a brother. Their three-year age difference created a minor generational gap.
Zachary glanced at his grandmother, who was now holding Sonny, and she discreetly pinched the back of his hand, urging him to speak with Serenity. Grandma May had already paved the way; all he needed to do was follow through. So why was he hesitating?
Feeling awkward, Zachary sensed that his grandmother was subtly pushing him to engage with Serenity. Reluctantly, he made his way into the small kitchen. Upon entering, he was greeted by the delightful aroma of food, as Serenity had finished cooking all the dishes.
Zachary suddenly felt a wave of hunger.
Serenity was taken aback when she turned around and spotted Zachary.
