Liberty walked to the kitchen door to assess the situation in the living room before responding, “Sonny can play for a little while longer. I’ll clean up later p>
She then returned to her work in the kitchen.
Sonny was in a hyperactive phase, flitting from one activity to another every few minutes and turning the living room upside down.
Furrowing her brows, Chelsea approached the kitchen door and leaned against the door frame. She asked, “Liberty, what did you give your sister to take? It’s a large bag. I hope you’re not giving her things that Hank bought p>
“Hank works hard for our family, and it’s exhausting. Your sister is married and has her own family. Keep that in mind and don’t leave all the good stuff for her p>
Liberty turned back to glare at Chelsea. Making a sour face, she replied, “Seren doesn’t need anything from me, unlike some people who don’t spend their own money but expect their brother to cover for them. They’d rather enjoy a nice meal at their brother’s place than pay for it themselves p>

Chelsea shot Liberty a dirty look before turning on her heel to walk away.
Once her brother returned, Chelsea planned to check with him about any missing items at home. The missing item was likely what Liberty had given her sister.
Knowing that his mother and sister were at home, Hank headed straight back after work.

“What do you do at home all day? Nothing,” Hank remarked.
Liberty carried a plate of roasted potatoes to feed her son before having her own dinner. Responding sarcastically to her husband’s accusations, she said, “I do nothing all day. That’s why the living room is a mess p>
Hank was left speechless.
“Sonny made the mess. You know how kids are. Lucas always creates chaos at home, and your dad and I have to clean up multiple times a day p>
Concerned that the couple might argue again, Mrs. Brown quickly interjected.
Hank muttered something under his breath, but Liberty didn’t catch what he said.
With Mrs. Brown intervening, Chelsea had to abandon her plans to exacerbate the situation.
“Sonny.” Hank moved closer and gently stroked his son’s head.
Sonny greeted his father and opened his mouth for his mother to feed him.
“Did you not make beef stew for Sonny today?” Hank asked, watching his son enjoy his meal.
“No. Sonny is two now. He can have something more substantial,” Liberty replied.
“Okay, but you need to ensure he gets enough protein. Otherwise, he won’t have a balanced meal.” Hank affectionately ruffled his son’s hair. The little guy resembled Liberty, with only a slight resemblance to him.

Lately, since she had been busy job hunting, they had been eating at Serenity’s shop. Serenity prepared poultry and red meat for Sonny, and today he had shrimp and pork. The food was delicious.
Sonny loved to eat.
“Is dinner ready?” Hank asked.
“It’s ready,” Liberty confirmed.
She paused feeding Sonny to show Hank the seafood receipt, saying, “All three hundred dollars are accounted for. Your sister complained about the size of the shrimp p>
