Serenity acted on her thoughts.
She quickly pulled out her cell phone and searched online for instructions on how to tie a tie.
After reading the steps twice, she tucked her phone back into her pants pocket. She approached Zachary, took the tie from his hand, and draped it around his neck. “You went back to the room to change, but it took you longer than a girl putting on makeup. You didn’t even put on your tie p>
Upon seeing this, Mrs. Lane tiptoed out of the room.
She waited for the young couple outside.
“Of all the men I know, only my scumbag brother-in-law wears suits and ties. I really have no experience and just learned this from the internet, so I hope I don’t strangle you while trying, okay p>
Zachary’s eyes lit up with pleasure as he listened to her soft murmurs.
She had no prior experience.
She had never tied a tie for a man before.
She even had to look up the steps on the spot.
This made him incredibly happy.
Although Serenity had read the steps twice, she still couldn’t tie it properly. ‘It looks easy, but why is it so hard?’ she thought. ‘It wasn’t this difficult when I learned to weave my handicrafts p>

Zachary resignedly took the tie back, worried that she might accidentally strangle him if she continued. Serenity sighed with relief and felt a bit embarrassed. It was such a simple task, yet she had failed.
It reminded her of wearing her red scarf in first grade. The scarf looked great on others, but on her, it ended up a messy knot around her neck. Serenity thought to herself, ‘He should have just done it himself from the start p>
Initially, he felt as if she viewed him as a pervert. Now, however, he found himself waiting for her to tie his tie. The man, unable to savor the moment of having his wife help him with his tie, donned his suit jacket, only to notice that Serenity was already heading out with her purse. Zachary was left speechless.
He first drove Serenity to Bright Boulevard, where Liberty was anxiously waiting downstairs with Sonny.
“Sorry we’re late today, Liberty. Will you make it to work on time p>
Liberty handed her son to her sister, but the little boy clung tightly to her neck and refused to go with Serenity.
“I want Mommy,” he repeated.
Serenity quickly tried to reassure her nephew. “I’ll carry you, Sonny. We can go shopping later, okay p>
Yet Sonny insisted, “I want Mommy p>
“Sonny, be a good boy. Mommy needs to go to work to earn money for your milk formula. Go with Aunt Seren, okay? Mommy will be back soon p>
Liberty also tried to comfort her son while gently prying his hands from around her neck and pushing him toward her sister.
“Seren, I have to get to work now; I’m running late. I’ll try to visit around noon to keep Sonny company.” She realized her son was reluctant to go with Serenity today because he hadn’t seen her yesterday, as she hadn’t stopped by her sister’s store for lunch.

Sonny began to wail, his small body thrashing in Serenity’s arms as he tried to escape his aunt’s grasp.
Liberty quickly put on her helmet and rode away. When Sonny saw his mother leaving, his cries grew even louder. As Liberty drove off, she could still hear her son’s heart-wrenching sobs, and her vision suddenly blurred.
Yet, she knew she couldn’t earn money to support her son if she stayed by his side.
