Hearing this eased Liberty’s worries. “Seren, Zachary, how did you two find me?” She only thought to ask after confirming her son was in good hands.
Serenity expressed her frustration. “Liberty, we’re sisters! Since our parents passed away, we’ve relied on each other for fifteen years and shared everything. This time, you left me out, so how could I not worry p>
“Zachary’s friend, who gathered evidence of Hank’s infidelity, is very capable. He quickly discovered that Hank was here as soon as Zachary asked, so we rushed over. “Mom didn’t believe him and insisted it was impossible to eliminate the smell of alcohol, even if it was diluted. So, she took a shot, and like Dad, she chastised the local grocer for selling fake alcohol. Seren laughed so hard in the corner that her stomach hurt.” Serenity felt embarrassed.
