After engaging in playful flirtation during dinner, Zachary showered Serenity with attentive care.
Serenity felt a bit overwhelmed by his affection.

After dinner, the couple headed to Liberty’s house together.
Sonny had woken up but was reluctant to play alone, clinging to his mother like a piece of gum.
Serenity was the only other person he permitted to hold him; he even refused to let Mrs. Lane carry him.
“Liberty, are you going to work tomorrow?” Serenity asked while cradling her nephew.
Liberty glanced at Sonny, considering her response before saying, “Seren, I want to quit and start my own business p>
She felt uneasy about Sonny’s current behavior. However, having just started her job, she knew that taking a leave of absence could jeopardize her position.
After contemplating for a day, she resolved to take her son with her while starting her own business.
“Have you thought about what kind of business you want to pursue p>
Liberty replied hesitantly, “I want to open a breakfast restaurant. What do you think? Aside from working a desk job, my cooking skills are my only real strength, so I believe I can succeed in this venture. I’ll only be busy in the mornings, which will allow me to rest in the afternoons to care for Sonny p>
“Running a breakfast business means you’ll need to wake up early, which can be exhausting. Are you sure you can manage it alone p>
While Serenity could help initially, she wouldn’t be able to assist every day.
“I’ll start small by serving only toasts and pancakes. Once I start earning money, I plan to get a storefront and hire someone to assist me,” Liberty said.
Zachary, who had been quiet until now, expressed his support for Liberty’s small business idea. “Liberty, have you found a location yet? Where do you plan to set up your stall? How much capital will you need?” he asked.
“It would be ideal to rent a spot in the market, but that might be challenging. If not, I’d prefer a location near large corporate buildings, preferably where there isn’t a cafeteria. However, those spots are likely already occupied,” she replied, contemplating the logistics.
“Unless someone relocates,” she added.
Serenity chimed in, “Don’t worry about that right now, Liberty. You should focus on researching the market first. If there really aren’t any available stalls, we can look into getting a storefront instead. If you lack sufficient capital, I can lend you some. Just remember to hire someone to help you, as you still need to care for Sonny. Don’t exhaust yourself p>
“Yeah, I’ll take tomorrow off. Let’s wait until Sonny feels better,” Liberty responded.
If the company was understanding about her needing time off so soon after starting, she would continue working there for a while. However, if they were not accommodating, she would have to resign.
“I want to talk to Hank again about the divorce. If I had a choice, I’d prefer to discuss it with him because I don’t want to live with him for even a moment longer. Plus, going through the divorce lawsuit would take time to gather the necessary evidence,” she explained.
“If the discussion doesn’t go well, I’ll still proceed with filing for divorce,” she concluded, exchanging glances with Serenity.
She glanced at her husband and nodded. “You should talk to Hank again. It’s best for both of you to reach an agreement regarding the divorce. It will also be quicker that way. Don’t show him the evidence of his extra income, but you can intimidate him a bit p>
“Additionally, you might want to find Jessica and speak with her to encourage her to pressure Hank. He could be willing to back off to keep his job and marry her as soon as possible p>
Liberty considered this and realized her sister had a valid point.
“If you’re not available, I can ask Jessica out for you and have a conversation with her p>
“No need, I’ll talk to her myself. I’ll take the next two days off to care for Sonny at home. I’ll ask Jessica out tomorrow at noon.” Since Liberty didn’t require her assistance, Serenity chose not to insist.
