Zachary’s dark eyes flashed as he stared at her for a long moment before suddenly lifting the quilt off her and preparing to pin her down.
However, she quickly sat up and got out of bed, slipping on her slippers as she left.

Zachary reached out to pull her back.
“I, um—I need to use the bathroom p>
Aunt Flo might have come to spoil the moment.
The man didn’t understand. “There’s a bathroom in my room p>
“Your bathroom doesn’t have what I need. I’ll come back to sleep in your bed after I use the bathroom, but I won’t be able to sleep next to you for a while p>
Serenity regretfully pinched his face. “You should gain a little weight p>
No matter how slow Zachary was, he finally understood and slowly released her hand, allowing her to return to her room.
