“Josh!” Zachary exclaimed, clearly annoyed. It was true when he claimed everything was for his pride. Serenity was his wife, and the thought of her being harassed was simply unacceptable. He would never allow such a thing to happen. “Alright, fine. I’ll let you have your way. It’s all about your pride and dignity, huh? I’ll look into the situation p>
“Your wife is Serenity Hunt, correct? You could have just asked Duncan for assistance p>
“As your administrative executive, I have a lot on my plate with the business side of things. Honestly, I barely have time for a sip of water.” With that, Zachary stood up to pour himself a glass. “Here, drink up. I don’t want to hear you saying you don’t even have time to hydrate p>
“Well, that took you long enough,” Josh remarked.
“I thought you weren’t thirsty. If you were, you would have poured yourself a drink by now. When have you ever asked for permission? Are we friends or what?” Josh chuckled.
“Duncan just doesn’t know how to keep things under wraps p>
“That’s true. He can be quite the chatterbox,” Josh shuddered slightly. “And don’t forget to gather detailed information about all her family members p>
After hearing Serenity talk about her family, Zachary sensed that trouble was looming for the sisters. He could distance himself from Liberty’s issues, but not from those involving his wife. To navigate this situation effectively, Zachary knew he needed to understand what he was up against. The key to victory lay in recognizing both his own strengths and those of his opponents. He had never engaged in a battle without being sure of his footing.
The Hunts could unleash their worst, but Zachary was determined to support Serenity without reservation.

“She has a whole bunch of money-hungry relatives,” Josh replied. “Ah, that explains why you keep your identity and marriage under wraps. Things can get complicated with that kind of family around p>
Zachary chose to remain silent on the matter. He hadn’t hidden his identity or his marriage; he simply understood the complexities that came with it.
Due to the greed of certain relatives, Zachary found himself in a complicated situation. His goal was to truly understand Serenity’s character. He had initially labeled her as a manipulative woman after being pressured by Nana into marrying her. However, it appeared that his preconceived notions had led him astray, causing him to start off on the wrong foot with Serenity.
Nonetheless, Serenity needed to undergo a character assessment. Zachary planned to be honest about everything and would back out of their agreement if he ultimately decided that Serenity was someone he could envision spending his life with. The hope was that they would eventually become a genuine couple and grow old together.
“Is there anything else?” Josh asked, taking two sips of his water. “That’s all. Get back to work,” Zachary replied. As Josh set down his glass and prepared to leave, Zachary posed a question.
“Josh, how do you apologize when you realize you were wrong about a woman p>
“What’s your mouth for? It’s to say sorry. Do you need me to teach you that?” Josh responded, leaving Zachary momentarily speechless. “Oh, I see. Are you asking me what would be an appropriate apology gift? Girls love flowers, jewelry, perfume, and skincare products. If you give her any of these, she’ll definitely get the message p>
