Despite the lengthy wait, Serenity was nowhere to be seen. It wasn’t until his sister-in-law appeared with Sonny that Zachary realized Serenity was already at the shop. He quickly headed to Wiltspoon School, stopping along the way to buy a bouquet of roses from a florist.
As he approached, Zachary noticed a few cars parked outside the shop and a crowd gathered at the door. Thanks to his keen eyesight and good memory, he recognized the group from afar—it was the greedy Hunt family. His mother had mentioned the Hunts the day before, expressing concern that they might come to demand money from Serenity after discovering his identity.
