Alice had gone for a medical check-up and discovered that her recent discomfort was due to pregnancy.
Though she had been married to Clive for many years, they had chosen not to have children, not due to any health issues but because they wanted to enjoy a few years together first.
After Mrs. Stone and the Hunt sisters connected, Alice saw how adorable Sonny was. After discussing it with Clive, they decided to start trying for a baby. They never expected to conceive so quickly or without her realizing it.
Once she learned of her pregnancy, Alice hurried to her husband’s office to share the wonderful news.
The couple was so overjoyed that they only announced Alice’s pregnancy to the rest of the family that evening after returning home.
The Stones were ecstatic.
Serenity was thrilled for Alice as well; she genuinely liked her cousin-in-law.

Serenity paused for a moment. “If you hadn’t brought it up, I might have completely overlooked it. I think I’m about two days late p>
“Two days? We can’t be certain it’s a pregnancy then. It’s common for people to be late. You’ve been late in the past too p>
“That’s true, right? If it doesn’t come in another week, you should go to the hospital for a check-up or pick up one of those early pregnancy tests from the drugstore. They can be quite accurate.” Serenity started the car. “I’ll get one when we pass a drugstore later. How far along do you need to be for an early pregnancy test to work?” She recalled when her sister, Liberty, first found out she was pregnant with Sonny; Liberty had taken a pregnancy test before visiting the hospital for confirmation.
“Generally, it can be detected about two weeks into your pregnancy. However, at such an early stage, the second red line may take longer to appear. It might be a faint positive, and many people don’t realize it,” her sister explained.
Serenity counted the days since her last period and noted that more than twenty days had passed since she and Zachary were together. If she was pregnant, it should be detectable by now. She resolved to buy a pregnancy test for herself first.
On her way back to Liberty’s place, she passed several drugstores. Serenity parked in front of Wiltspoon Pharmacy and told her sister, “Liberty, I’m going to buy a pregnancy test p>
“Okay,” Liberty replied, adjusting her position as she cradled her son, who had fallen asleep shortly after they got in the car.
Serenity exited the car and entered the pharmacy, feeling anxious about the accuracy of the test. To be safe, she purchased several. After buying the tests, her nerves were evident as she considered the possibility of being pregnant.
If she was, should she tell Zachary? Even if she chose not to, he would likely find out eventually. His men had been secretly monitoring her every move. Who knew? The news that she might be pregnant could reach him sooner than she anticipated.
Serenity entered Wiltspoon Pharmacy to purchase pregnancy tests, which might not take her more than ten minutes before reaching Zachary. She was well aware of her husband’s domineering nature. After leaving the drugstore and driving away, two bodyguards who secretly protected Serenity entered the pharmacy.
