They had once enjoyed a harmonious family life, but that was now over. It took Hank’s new wife for Mrs. Brown and Chelsea to finally appreciate Liberty. Now, however, the ladies wouldn’t stop bothering Liberty, which was humiliating.

Liberty had just finished a call with her ex-husband when Duncan burst through the glass door, flanked by a team of security personnel.

Duncan strode in and instructed the security guards to escort the mother and daughter out. His scarred face was tense and grim as he exited the restaurant, confronting the Browns, who appeared terrified.

Mrs. Brown was terrified.
She grabbed her daughter and ran.
They hurried into the car and drove off.
Jessica observed everything from outside until Duncan arrived with a security team, prompting her to take cover in her car. Jessica discreetly recorded the incident to share with Hank later.
Liberty had found herself another man. Hank was now part of the past, and he needed to let go of Liberty and concentrate on his life with Jessica.
Once the mother and daughter left, Duncan returned to the diner while the security guards remained outside. It was quite unusual to see a dozen men in uniform lingering around. Liberty’s neighbors peeked out to see what was happening.
They didn’t recognize Duncan because he had hired someone else to collect the rent. They were unaware that the man with the scarred face was their actual landlord.
Duncan noticed Liberty’s wide-eyed expression and Grandma May’s keen gaze, feeling as though he had been deceived.
After all, who was Grandma May?
Though she was elderly, Grandma May was fit enough to handle Mrs. Brown and Chelsea. Liberty wasn’t weak either; she could easily team up with Grandma May to evict those two. Duncan didn’t need to play the hero.
Grandma May had set him up.
Realizing he had been tricked, Duncan maintained his composure and approached Sonny as if nothing had happened. He knelt down and pulled Sonny in for a hug.
Sonny resisted Duncan’s embrace, fighting back.
