LIANA’S POV
Just then, my phone rang. It was a message.

Simon: Finally landed. Come pick me up at the airport. I’m putting on a white polo and jeans.
My heart skipped. My stomach twisted with guilt. I hadn’t even had the time to respond before it rang. His name lit up the
screen.
I answered.
“Hey baby,” Simon’s voice was soft and full of excitement. “I’m finally here. I can’t wait to wrap my arms around you. have no idea how much I’ve missed you p>
I swallowed hard. My voice was trembling. “Simon… I p>
Before I could say anything else, the phone was snatched from my hand.
“What the hell-” I turned in shock.
Killian put the phone to his ear. “She’s not coming to pick you up p>
I lunged at him. “Give it back! Killian, stop it p>
He held the phone out of my reach.
“This is Killian,” he continued calmly. “And Liana is mine. I don’t know what she told you, but I’m not letting her
yourself a favor and forget about her p>
“Kiilian! Give me my phone! ” I yelled, trying to grab it, but he shifted, as if evading me effortlessly.
Once he was done, he cut the call and handed the phone back to me.
“What was that?! ” I snapped.
He looked at me as if I was being unreasonable. “I told you to break up with him. You didn’t. I’m just helping you
easier. Now he knows you’re off–limits p>
“ You’re insane! ”
He grabbed my wrist and dragged me toward his car.

“Killian! What is it with you and forcing me to do things I don’t want to do?! Leave me the heck alone! Go deal with your wife! ”
He didn’t say anything. Just pushed me into the car, shut the door, and started the engine.
His phone rang

He cut the call
She called again.
He cut it again.
On the third ring, I snatched the phone.

I couldn’t speak. My mouth opened, but nothing came out.
He parked the car in front of his company building.
I sat there, staring at the dashboard, trying to find the words.
“You… she’s pregnant, Killian,” I said finally, my voice was quite small. “And you’re here dragging me around like some
fucking prize. ”

He sighed and reached for the door handle.

He yanked his arm free. “Why can’t you just leave it alone?! ”

“Then why get her pregnant?! ”
