The moment Mr. Pearson woke up, Jacob fell straight to his knees beside the hospital bed, his eyes

Mr. Pearson’s face hardened. He gripped the cane at his bedside and pointed it sharply at Jacob. “Get out of

“Your mother built that hospital for you to heal people. And you couldn’t even save her p>
Blood trickled from the wound on Jacob’s head where the jug had struck, but he made no sound, only
continued to kowtow and apologize.
