Sienna’s tone was dripping with disdain, as if Jensen had lost his mind for associating with Rebekah.
With his back to Rebekah, Jensen’s handsome face was a mask of ice. His normally warm eyes were devoid of any smile as he looked at Sienna’s group as if they were trash.
“A bunch of kids who should be in school are out here looking for a beating from the real world. Don’t come crying when you get it.” His voice was calm, but his powerful presence was intimidating. The blond guys hesitated.
“What are you afraid of?” Sienna urged them on. “She’s a nobody. There are more of us. You think we can’t take one guy p>
Emboldened by her words, they charged.
Jensen calmly unfastened his cuffs and loosened the top button of his shirt, revealing the taut muscles and faint veins in his forearms. He looked coiled and ready. Standing behind him, Rebekah watched as he efficiently took down each of his attackers.
Soon, only Sienna and her two friends were left standing, too scared to move.
Suddenly, the door to a nearby room opened. Faye’s voice preceded her. “Jensen, are you smoking a whole carton out here? What’s taking so long p>
Rebekah looked up and saw the woman from the car. *It was her. The rich woman who was keeping Jensen p>
Faye saw Rebekah, too, and noticed Jensen standing protectively in front of her, with several thugs groaning on the floor. She walked directly over to Rebekah.

Jensen shot Faye a sharp, warning look.

Rebekah was confused. If Jensen was her driver, why had Faye been driving when they arrived?
“I know who you are,” Faye continued. “The winner of last night’s design competition. And Jensen’s… friend p>
Rebekah eyed the overly friendly woman with suspicion.
On the floor, the blond guys scrambled to their feet, grabbed
Sienna, and dragged her away. They might be troublemakers, but they werent stupid enough to risk their lives. The woman who had just appeared had an aura of power they knew better than to challenge.
Sienna was furious at being pulled away. She still wanted to teach Rebekah a lesson, but her friends wouldn’t let go, and she was forced to retreat back to their room, cursing all the way.
Jensen noticed Rebekah’s discomfort and turned to Faye, his tone a mix of request and command. “Ms. Hawthorne, please handle the rest of the meeting yourself. My shift is over. I’m leaving p>
Before Faye could respond, Jensen took Rebekah’s arm and led her
away. Watching them go, a smile played on Faye’s lips. Time to report back to her brother. His little
treasure had found a treasure of her own.
Once they were downstairs, Jensen offered to call Rebekah a car.
“Jensen,” she asked, “are you and that woman, Faye, really just a boss and her driver p>
“Yes. What else would we be p>
“Oh, nothing, nothing.” Rebekah
looked into his clear eyes and decided she had overthought things. He was probably just here for a business meeting with his boss. Meeting at a nightclub wasn’t unheard of.
Jensen suddenly looked at her, studying her face intently. “You’ve changed,” he said.
