“Groveling? We both know who the guilty party is here!” Benjamin retorted, his eyes locking on Rebekah as his grip on her wrist tightened.
In his mind, he had done nothing wrong. It was Rebekah who had become unreasonable, treating his son and him with growing coldness while viewing her own sister as an enemy. What other man would have tolerated such a wife?
Rebekah twisted her arm, but she couldn’t break free. Her face paled from the pain.
Suddenly, a hand with long, well-defined fingers closed around Benjamin’s wrist. With a sharp, brutal twist, Benjamin cried out and released her. Before Rebekah could even see what happened next, Benjamin was flying sideways, crashing heavily to the floor.
She gasped and grabbed Jensen’s sleeve, stopping him from advancing. He glanced back at her, saw the alarm in her eyes, then turned his glare back to Benjamin.
“Get lost,” he commanded.
