Candice’s face went pale.
As the standoff continued, a low, magnetic voice cut through the tension. “Can’t you see she doesn’t want to talk to you p>
The voice was cool and calm. Rebekah looked up to see Jensen approaching, a faint, unreadable smile on his face as he watched them from a few feet away. She had no idea how much he had overheard. A sense of unease washed over her, embarrassed that he had witnessed her family drama.
Benjamin finally released her, his eyes narrowing as he sized Jensen up. The man before him had a devilishly handsome face and a refined air that suggested he was more than he seemed. Rebekah frowned instinctively. He never even called her that when they were alone. She glanced at Benjamin and saw his eyes darken with fury, just as she’d expected.
