She opened her profile to find it flooded with new followers, comments, and direct messages.
She was bewildered. She had only just created the account and hadn’t even posted anything yet, intending to build a following slowly. Now, thanks to the official tag from Quinn Fashion, her page had exploded.
Fans were flooding her comments, expressing their love for the dress and begging her to release more designs. She even had collaboration offers from other fashion professionals.
A thrill of joy shot through her. There was no greater feeling than having her work loved and appreciated. She politely declined the offers and posted a simple thank- you message before returning to her cooking. As much as she wanted to expand her reach, Quinn Fashion had given her an incredible opportunity, and she had no intention of betraying their trust so early in her career. She still had so much to learn.
After serving Old Mr. Forrester his soup, she went back to her room and began to draw again, working late into the night.
Suddenly, her bedroom door burst open, and a drunk Benjamin stumbled in. She had just set down her pencil when he lurched toward her, collapsing against her.
She instinctively reached out to catch him.
“Candice he mumbled into her shoulder, his breath thick with alcohol.
Rebekah froze. She knew he loved Candice, but to be mistaken for her, even in his drunken state, was a sudden, sharp blow. This was, after all, a man she had loved for eight years.
Biting her lip, she shoved him away. He crumpled to the floor in a heap. Without a second glance, she went to the door to call for help, only to find the family butler, Sam, standing there.
“Sam, could you please have someone help me get Benjamin back to his room p>
Sam averted his eyes. “Madam, it’s quite late. The staff have all gone to bed. You and the young master are husband and wife… sharing a room is perfectly normal. There’s no need to trouble anyone p>
Before Rebekah could respond, Sam turned and walked away, ignoring her calls.
It finally dawned on her. This was Old Mr. Forrester’s doing. Benjamin’s drunkenness was probably part of the plan, too-a clumsy attempt to push them back together.
She let out a bitter laugh. Her life had been ruined by this man. No amount of matchmaking could erase the scars he had left on her.
There was no future for them. None.
She looked at the unconscious man on her floor. She couldn’t move him herself, but she knew who could.

As she was leaving, she shot Rebekah a venomous glare. “Since you’re so intent on divorcing my son, you can stop using these pathetic tricks to seduce him. Look at yourself.
